It has been suggested that this fraud and Zionist huckster "Walid Shu'ybat" is a former Christian Phangist fighter from Lebanon.

Now whether he is a phony "apostate" or the real McCoy, it isn't too important. The fact is the guy is just trying to make money by peddling fear of the "Muslim menace" to Zionists and right-wing Christians. They pay him for telling them what they want to hear to justify their hatred toward Islam and Arabs.

But man, this guy is just dubious from every angle and we still have yet to see any proof of his alleged connection to the PLO and "terrorism".

See: http://www.danielpipes.org/comments/53801

He is also deeply connected to Robert Spencer, Daniel Pipes, and other radical Jewish supremacists. This is a very telling association.

Another thing that gets me, this man is constantly passed-off as a "former Muslim terrorist". But the group he belonged to was the PLO, whose secular credentials is well-known. He belonged to a group which fought not for an Islamic Filastin governed by Shari'ah, but one which states its belief in "a secular, democratic Palestine". On what basis can he be called a "former Muslim"?

I have learned the vast majority of "apostates" being pushed nowadays, were never Muslims to begin with. Wafa Sultan was Nusairi, Irshad Manji was Isma'ili, there is a blog owned by another apostate who was actually Qadiani, etc.

Two other things to keep in mind about this Shoebat. Where was he before he rose out of obscurity? Apparently he was not high-ranking within the PLO. The village he allegedly originates from (according to his own account), Beit Sahour, has been predominantly Christian:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beit_Sahour

He is too right wing in his rhetoric. He claims to be a former Moslem who now embraces Christianity and loves Israel. Well, how can you love Israel if the only road to salvation is through Jesus Christ? How can you proclaim your admiration for the Jewish people if you feel they are lost in not accepting Christ as the Messiah? From what I've read on many posts, Shoebat is a former Lebanese militiaman who was brought over to Israel after the Southern Lebanon fiasco. He then set out to proclaim himself a Palestinian. In the end he is a former member of the Christian Phangist (Fascist) party who's making a living telling Jews what they want to hear. I'm one who will plant a tree in Israel before I give this man a dime.

The most interesting thing about this, is a reflection of the saying of Allah (Subhanahu wa-Ta'ala), who told us the enemies of Islam are not united among themselves. The above statement comes from a Jew. The alliance between Zionist Jews and Christian Evangelicals is strange: The former regards all non-Jews as goyim, whereas the latter openly admit their desire the Jews "accept Jesus as their lord and savior".

For being a supposed "former terrorist", it is strange he roams freely without the least bit of hassle from the American and Zionist intelligence/security agencies. I quote from his Wikipedia page:

In an article published in far-left Internet magazine CounterPunch in 2004, Will Youmans noted that Shoebat had never come under criminal investigation in the US for his alleged terrorist activities, nor had he been threatened with deportation, although two other Palestinians in the US had faced deportation proceedings because of their alleged involvement with terrorist groups. Youmans suggests that Shoebat is effectively immune from prosecution or deportation because of his pro-Israel views (however, he does not take into consideration the fact that Shoebat has renounced terrorism for good, unlike the persons under prosecution).

May Allah (Subhanahu wa-Ta'ala) divide our enemies and expose their plots. May we benefit from their dissensions and remain united with our Muslim brothers and sisters in our hearts and may this become manifest in both our deeds and statements. Ameen.
