أَنَا (ana) = I
أَنْتَ (anta) = You (masc.)
أَنْتِ (anti) = You (fem.)

To ask a question use either أَ or هَلْ at the beginning of the sentence, e.g.
هَلْ أَنْتَ طَالِبٌ؟ - Are you (masc.) a student? or أَ أَنْتَ طَالِبٌ؟ - Are you (masc.) a student?

I would like to practice by currently really basic Arabic. Inshallah you'll see it improve as I'm taking some intense lessons. Just need as much practice as I can and need to build up the vocab. Ask me questions someone please (and try to keep 'em simple lol)

Sister I've started to go through these books with a friend of mine, and inshallah plan to finish the first one within the next week. Then I'm going to memorise all the ضمائر and the different forms of the verbs, and that should allow me to construct simple sentences. Then it's building a decent vocabulary (I wish I could've said that in arabic, but currently it's impossible).

اريد ان اتكلم اللغة العربية within the next 6 months بإذن الله

masha'Allah, so are you at the level of understanding/reading/speaking arabic right now (as i've seen in other threads) thanks to madinah arabic book 1 only? i ask, as i teach arabic and i've used many different books but i haven't used the madinah set because of bad reviews.

Bad reviews? Really? I also use Arabic Tutor (which I found from Kalamullah), but it's not that bad when you have someone to take you through the language. The Medina Series is bad for verbs and pronouns, because they don't use the normal tables, but introduce them bit by bit, which can make it hard to put them all together.

الحمد الله I can read and write Arabic perfectly (I'm not a complete beginner as you could tell), but I still need a few harakat to be on the letters. Inshallah, that won't be a problem once I learn the grammar. I'm going to use this thread to practise and inshallah, by this time next year, I want to be speaking well (so make dua'a for me)

Masha'Allah. Yes, I've got all four parts of Arabic Tutor and it's pretty good like you said, as long as you get help from someone. Insha'Allah I'll have a look at the Madinah books as well and re-consider.

Regarding reading fluently without harakat, insha'Allah with time that will get better. If there's one thing you need that will help you with this, it's sarf. Insha'Allah do have a look at that Shadha al-'Arf thread I started in the Arabic section (I haven't posted in it for about a month but I do aim to start again after Ramadhan). I think KalamUllah also have a few books scanned about Sarf (Morphology). If you search in IslamWay and Multaqa Ahl al-Hadeeth, you'll find duroos as well.
