"Allah will make people wonder when they see folk hauled to paradise in chains"
Is this a real Hadith, and if so, where can it be found?
Thanks.

Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 254: Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, "Allah wonders at those people who will enter Paradise in chains."
In Sunan Abu Dawood, in kitab al-Jihad as well.Chapter 970

Uthal who was the chief of the people of al-Yamamah and bound him to one of the pillars of the mosque. The Prophet came out to him and said: What are you expecting, Thumamah? He replied: I expect good, Muhammad. If you kill (me), you will kill one whose blood will be avenged; if you show favour, you will show it to one who is grateful; and if you want property and ask you will be given as much of it as you wish. The Prophet left him till the following day, and asked him: What are you expecting, Thumamah? He repeated the same words (in reply). The Prophet left him till the day after the following one, and he mentioned the same words. The Prophet then said: Set Thumamah free. He went off to some palm-trees near the mosque. He took a bath there and entered the mosque, and said, I testify that there is no god but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and His apostle. […]</td></tr></tbody></table>

The wording of the Hadith you quoted differs from what I quoted.
Is the wording that I gave incorrect? I read it in a book that the Prophet [s] said that but they did not give any source. Also, they said that the meaning of the Hadith was that Allah would--out of love for certain slaves of his--"force" them to greatness and Paradise. And he gave the example of Salah ad-Deen [ra] who didn't really want to go to Egypt and he was forced into that by the state of affairs at the time. But one can see that Allah was slowly pushing him to greatness and Paradise. By "tagging along" to Egypt, Salah ad-Deen [ra] eventually was propelled to greatness, becoming sultan and unifier of Islam.
What do you think?
