Anyone know where to find the section "Importance of Jihad" from Chapter 7 of 'Let us be Muslim' by. Syed Abul ‘Ala Maududi.

As you can see HERE (http://www.witness-pioneer.org/vil/Books/M_foi/index.html), the 'Importance of Jihad' section is not hyperlinked as opposed to the 'Jihad' section above it.

BarakAllah feek, very good links on this thread:

Milestones also taught me that Islam stands for change despite our critics who believe that people like Qutb were fundamentalists, shackled to a mysonginistic, primitive belief.SubhanAllah, what a powerful book.

It seems anyone can call themselves a sheikh or an alim these days and then there are the scholars for dollars ... if the price is high enough they will peddle out whatever government line they are asked.:)

In addition to the above, this is an EXCELLENT documentary on Sayyid Qutb. The documentary is on for 3 hours and is split into 3 chapters. Each chapter has 6 parts. However, only parts 1 and 2 of the first chapter relate to Sayyid Qutb and part 1 of chapter 3 (but only slightly) and I show them to you below. Underneath, at the bottom of the videos shown below, I write instructions on how to download them onto your hard drive or just watch them online.

The full 2004 BBC documentary is called 'The Power of Nightmares: The Politics of Fear' and it is broken into 3 chapters, below:
Baby It's Cold Outside (BBC Article) (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/3755686.stm) - YouTube part 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAUDcmaJNWQ&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fforums%2Eislamicawakening%2Ecom% 2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Fp%3D43362), 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InW5vIc2xNQ&mode=related&search=), 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TC6L0WFo1Go&mode=related&search=), 4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZaB9qDzxPE&mode=related&search=), 5 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-lLpYmpQt8&mode=related&search=), 6 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQyHC3lfedE&mode=related&search=)
The Phantom Victory (BBC Article) (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/3951615.stm) - YouTube part 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ny0RPMmDmZ8&mode=related&search=), 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Thi3DuYX4kw&mode=related&search=), 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_VDh6xUJWc&mode=related&search=), 4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8ztzg-zCZQ&mode=related&search=), 5 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3uE_whPDUY&mode=related&search=), 6 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8C8QHRUauzE&mode=related&search=)
The Shadows In The (BBC Article) Cave (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/3970901.stm) - YouTube part 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYH8eM910fs&mode=related&search=), 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efeh8vzpHE4&mode=related&search=), 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJsGURxdl_s&mode=related&search=), 4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqdQzknPQXg&mode=related&search=), 5 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rnp2blmlZNg&mode=related&search=), 6 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8K9vJqF0140&mode=related&search=)

Like I said (and shown above) on YouTube each chapter is split into 6 parts. But, only parts 1 and 2 of chapter 1 are of Sayyid Qutb.

SAVE THEM TO YOUR HARD DRIVE

You can save them to your hard drive using KEEPVID (http://keepvid.com/). Here is how to use it:

Go to KeepVid, paste the URL link of the YouTube video into the space provided, select YouTube in the drop down menu on the right and side. Click download on the far right of the screen. This will save the video to your hard drive as a file called 'get_video' - once the download is complete, change the name to get_video.flv - Once thisis done you can change the file extention from .flv to .avi and then call it what you want so it can be played on VLC Player. You can get some excellent screen shots from these of Qutb and paste them into paintbrush (as I prove below that are not found on the internet anywhere else)! Hope this helps!

Also, the History Channel did a documentary on the 'Muslim Brotherhood' called "Brotherhood of Terror" which talks about Sayyid Qutb. The torrent can be found here (http://www.mininova.org/tor/348580). Description:

For many Americans, the morning of September 11, 2001 made the threat of Islamic Fundamentalism a grave reality. This unthinkable act brought terrorism to America's heartland and instigated a massive change in US foreign policy.
However, long before Osama Bin Laden there were other men who saw America as the ultimate evil. Their roots can be traced to a shadowy movement known as the Muslim Brotherhood.

This programme travels to Cairo, where the Brotherhood was born in the late 1920s, to explore how the Brotherhood passed on radical ideologies to legions of followers, including Ayman Zawahiri, who would later become Osama Bin Laden’s right-hand man.

Today, some experts say the Brotherhood could be a powerful ally in fighting the war on terror, while others believe that its dark history makes this movement one that can never be trusted.
