until recently I had the o2 Executive. I think for userbility it is excellent.
That was until the train for work was late and I smashed the screen when I chucked it into my bag :(
I don't think it had 3g, the best phones to go for are probably blueberry or blackberry.......can't remember

i have a windows PPC. Thought it would be useful for pdfs, MP3s etc. But i hate it, the windows system always freezes up, has quirks etc.
When i had a palm treo, i loved it. it handled everything so easily compared to the Windows PPC.
A lot of people are starting to rate the Blackberry 8800. Its meant to be absolutely brilliant for email.

I have heard good things about the 8800 aswell. You can read a review HERE (http://www.trustedreviews.com/mobile-devices/review/2007/03/29/Blackberry-8800/p1)

Asalaam'Alaykum,
I think the Nokia E90 Communicator (http://www.nokia.ae/A4361078) looks pretty impressive.

I am looking for a Pocket PC, i.e. Windows driven phone. So Blackberry and other phones are out of the question.
XDA Exec DOES come with 3G as far as I was aware?
I had been using my good old XDA until I smashed it, too... Now the darkness of non-working pixels have overshadowed the display.

Asalaamu 'Alaikum,
check out the following link, other networks have there own versions of the same devices, obviously with a different names. The Exec does have 3G and the Blackberry is a more of an email client device and would require the person to be on a Blackberry tariff. On o2 you would need to be on a pay monthly tariff to use the devices for browsing purposes as the browsing access point is not available on the payandgo platform.

I am looking for a phone to use for car navigation (Tom Tom), which phones are the best on the market for this?
I would like something with a fairly large screen.

As-Salaamu 'Alaikum,
I think it would best to use a PDA as the screens are relatively large. If you are wanting to purchase one out of contract then I would suggest something like the XDA Exec as you could get Tom Tom six working on it. If you are looking for a handset in contract then the XDA Orbit comes with the co-pilot sat nav.
Alternatively if you don't particularly like PDA's you could go for a Nokia N95 which also has sat nav on however there is a subscription charge for the voice activation of £48 (I think). Or on the other hand you could purchase most Symbian handset like the N70 for example and you could run Route 66 on these devices, which is a sat nav software. You would have to purchase a GPS receiver with most devices apart from the Orbit and N95 as they are inbuilt.
Check out the previous link I posted for some PDA's.
