New Forum Sections

This is an excellent forum and outstanding resource in itself. However, their is so much information but so few sections. I notice that good info is lost because their is not a relevent place to put it. Now, I know you cannot have a section for everyhthing but what about these:

Islamic Events
Books and Videos
Mosques
Groups and Organisations
Islamophobia Watch

And maybe we can list here was posts need to be moved into what proper sections, deleted, etc?

Books and videos InshaAllaah when the site is revamped , there will be something to cater for that.

Mosques listings do you mean ? maybe that also will be added to a section on the home page eventually.

If you mean a directory, then Muslim Directory is too famous to be competed with. If you mean just a discussion, I guess mosques and groups are so dynamic that they can be easily discussed under politics or other sections.

Actually, we had a section on it but I hid it because it was dead... What would be good if we were to have one person in charge of this project who regularly posts alerts, campaigns and encourages all the members to complain... that would definitely be worthwhile. So would anyone like to volunteer?

yes, the "Da'wah and Methodology (http://forums.islamicawakening.com/forumdisplay.php?f=17)" is a good section for discussions regarding groups etc. it's description:

Well, there is no need to replicate the work already being done by other organisation, so I guess we just need a syndicate to copy and paste action alerts from various sites and bring them to our attention here. It would certainly help create awareness here and even motivate ppl to act.

We can also consider initiating alerts on cases that other orgs do not pick up on for whatever reasons.
