Hi,

Just a quick question mainly to the younger muslim females that reads this:

Don't you think it is time for more female scholars or imams, in other words, don't you think that it is strange that most scholars have to be men?...strange is'nt it?

Could it be that muslim men are basically afriad that women could get too much power and influence?

Mika, really I don't know if whats your deal. Did you just come out of under a rock one day, totally oblivious to the Islamic world and whats goings on, see a CNN special about Islam and then come to the conclution to pass judgement and make baseless assumptions without obviously giving this subject the slightest shred of researce?

FYI, there are women scholars. If you where to go and check some sites or arab channels you'd see many women giving lectures and writting books about Islam. I mean who do you think teaches the women about Islam in school? A guy?

And this tone you got as if your speaking to women, being on their side, whispering to them trying to start some type of uprising that they never thought of. If you believe that then your insulting our muslim sisters intelligence before you even finish the rest of your babbleing. And whether you want to admit it or not, many women choose this lifestyle over your "Liberation Movement" theory that is really diffined as, "We'll use and abuse you in the name of Freedom."

And you wonder why there is a "Clash of Civilizations", when you come to the Muslim world you have nothing positive to promote. But rather you come with this mindset that you need to change people and their opinions to suite what you deem normal. So instead of seeing the positive light of the muslim community for example not drinking, and the many benifits of the banishment of this poison, you go into our countries trying to change the laws and the public opinion in the name of Freedom. And then you have the audacity to think that we're the axis of evil and your the little angles with the hailo over your head.

Okay so really ask yourself, the devel wants women to stay at home and not fornicate or go to night clubs, right? And God wants the opposite? The devel wants people to stop drinking to prevent drunk driving and the death of innocent lives, he wants people not to black out and be tooken advantage sextually while intoxicated right? Oh yeah the devel hate strip clubs, and prostitution right? The devel hates for a man to commit adultery, or a women to do the same? The fact is that YOU, YOUR PEOPLE, AND EVERYTHING YOU ALL STAND FOR ARE IN THE DEVELS INTERESTS. What you call to is evil and you have some nerve to think that your some how doing something good for muslim women.

Why don't you put all that effort into going as liberateing the poor women in Tialand that are brainwashed into thinking prostitution is a way of life? Or just next door to you Germany, why don't you "Liberate" this women from such a horrible proffesion? Why don't you go to the strip clubs and try to find these girls other jobs that don't humiliate them for cents. Really is this not Evil? Does this not take priority over a women that just is asked to wear cloths that is something to the effect in the west as, "Hey put on a sweater." The fact of the matter is is that you are in denial about your peoples situation and until you start acctually promoteing something civil and moral aside from this modern day garbage package your trying to sell in the middle east (i.e. Premiscuity, Drinking, Discos, Fornication etc.) we will never take anything you say seriously.

P.S. if the sisters can share with this guy your opinions of the beauty of Islam and how it helped you please share, because it seems this guy think you all are being oppressed.

Hi

How many female Imams would you say regular performed their religious services compared to male Imams, in the Islamic world?

P.S Abu Ayoub Al-Ansari you are very well informed about western prostitutes, brotels and strip clubs.
May I ask from where you get your information about the west?

mika's Islamophobic bigotry has got the better of him yet again [1] (http://www.jannah.org/sisters/womenhadith.html) [2] (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/02/25/magazine/25wwlnEssay.t.html?_r=1&oref=slogin)

Look if your a man as you claim and if your sextually mature to desire the opposite sex (That is if your not interested in the same sex like allot of your little non-muslim friends) then you'd understand the things that go through all of our minds with EVERY women we see. Even if we don't want to think about it, "IT" is always in the back of our head. So to have a religious service where someone is trying to remind the people about God then we say that for a women to stand infront of a bunch of men will cause a ditraction. She can of course teach a room full of women about things, but for men you have to understand that this could cause problems. Especially if they follow your promotion totally and dress in some western britney spears outfit. So there are boundaries for the women with social interaction with men, but for other women then there isn't any bounds, she can teach and talk and meet as many women as her heart desires.

There are thousands of females who are seeking Islamic knowledge around the world, including myself (just going slow, Allahul Musta'an).

But many of them stop at the middle of the road, because of being busy with family duties (husband and children) and some even add a job to that ! (especialy if the family is poor), and some get busy with worldly matters, sadly.

That is why (in my opinion) many of them do not continue their studies to the point of becoming a scholar.

But there are Muslim women today who have good knowledge of Islam, there are some Islamic books written by them, and some of them give private lectures at home or in Islamic centers.
Some knowledgable sisters whom I heard of on the internet whom have students are: Um Abdullah al Wadi'iyah in Yemen, she is sh. Muqbil's (rahimahu Allah) daughter.
Also I heard of Dr. Farhat (I believe she is Pakistani), also a Muslim Female who has students, and writes books.
Also Kamila al Kawari (Qatari) wrote a few books.
And Ruqayyah al Mihareb (Saudi) also is active in dawah in KSA and also writes.
Sharifa Carlo is active in U.S.
And other Muslim women in Arab countries and the west.

Islam encourages all Muslims to seek knowledge, males and females.
Many Islamic institutes around the world have a section for women, and Muslim scholars teach their students (male and female) equally.

Masha Allah, my teachers have been very helpful to me in my path of seeking knowledge.

I have benefited a lot from them, may Allah reward them.

actually Muslim scholars want women to gain knowledge becuase with Islamic knowledge they will know their religion and will teach other Muslim women their religion.

And yes, insha Allah we (Muslim women), with knowledge, will gain power to fight people like you, and this satanic feminist movement, and gain influence amongest Muslim women and clean their minds from your (type of people) brainwashing.

Mika your title says the first female scholar , Aisha Radhiallahu 'anha the wife of the Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam was a scholar who taught the companions of the beloved Phrophet. The Phrophet also sought advice from his wifes.

Go to the Vatican and see how many females are in there . Islaam has given women more rights than any other religion or ism or ideology.

Why cant you ask about these things Mika? instead of making comments that when one is reading them, it would lead them to think you lived in a cave.

seeing as though mika has been utterly embarrassed yet again, perhaps he will be candid in admitting that he simply didn't know what he was talking about (we know this to be true with all of mika's posts, but it'd be nice to hear it from the horse's mouth for once ).

The Knowledge of ‘Â`ishah

It is reported from Abû Mûsâ Al-Ash’arî – Allah be pleased with him - that he said:

We the Companions of Allah’s Messenger – Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – never had difficulty in understanding a hadîth except that when we asked ‘Â`ishah we found she had some knowledge about it.

It is reported from Masrûq – Allah have mercy on him – that he said:

We swear by Allah, we have seen senior Companions of Allah’s Messenger – Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – asking ‘Â`ishah about inheritance laws.

Ibn Al-Jawzî, Sifah Al-Safwah Vol.1 p319.

Hello again,

So does that mean that female Imams are just as common as male Imams, where female Imams are leading the traditioal Islamic regular prayer in the mosque for men and women all over the world?

Abu Ayoub Al-Ansari do you serious mean that female Imams is not a good idear since the men could become sexual arroused by looking at the female imam, and thereby loose the concetration on Allah.......something is serious wrong with you guys sexlife...?
Serious..... is that why you male muslims are afriad of female Imams?

There are a number of reasons Mika women cant lead the prayer , no muslimah would bend down in such a way in front of men. I am sure there are many of other types of women doing that in front of men in strip clubs , its part of their act to do that.

What does the woman do when she is on her menses or post delivery bleeding ?
I dont get this Mika , why do you always put down men and try to degrade them in many of your posts, one of the main reasons for the downfall of many marriages is women turning into men.
