As Salamo alaikum

Does anyone have links to Arabic lectures/conversations that a person attempting to learn Arabic can listen to and benefit from?

In particular, I'm looking for something like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8n-a-6HBb4&watch_response

(NOTE: The conversation is MESSED up to the core, but still beneficial since it has subtitles and a person listening intently can start to see how a sentence is formed, etc.).

So, any video lectures in Arabic that have subtitles? Jazakum Allaho khair...ya'ni :)

Wa'alaykum Salaam

Hmm, you can get videos like that from MemriTV (http://www.memritv.org/) and stuff... but that site's not too good...

Errmm, you can try take this audio by Shaykh al-Albaani (http://www.islamway.com/?iw_s=Lesson&iw_a=view&lesson_id=485) and read it along with the PDF (http://www.al-ibaanah.com/cms/pdf_files/50.pdf).

^ I dunno, it might help... ?

Asalaamu alaikum wr wb.

If you're more into audio, then try listening to waleed basyouni. Masha Allah he gives interesting talks, speaks in arabic - then does the english right after it.. so you kinda get a grasp of what he's saying, then the explanation in english (this way you can guess the arabic meaning first, then get an explanation of it later when he talks english):

Try downloading his talks on Kitab Al Fitan [in sahih al bukhari/book of trials], or principles 3 - eman - kufr.
