AS WR WB

Allah said that he Muslims will go through tests as did he people before them, bu then Allah says he will give us a good life if we accept Islaam.

Is this a contradiction?

Allah never contradicts Himself. It is kufr to suggest this. I know yours was a question.

What verses are you referring to? Trials are not necessarily a bad thing. It may be difficult but it is not bad. Can you say the Tour de France or The Iron Man competition is bad? Of course not.

Trials are just a way of testing one's faith. The one who passes the trials that his Lord has given him, will experience an increase in iman and if he is successful his rank and status will be raised in the Hereafter.

"Amazing is the matter of the believer , for all of his affairs are good for him If a bounty was bestowed on him, the thanks for it , and this is better for him If affliction touches him, he observes patience, and this is better for him, this is only for the believer " [Muslim]
