Don't be surprised to find out that Khariji (pl. of khawarij) tendency of Takfir is found in none other than the Ashari sect.
This Takfiri Khariji tendency is not new. Remember the Takfir of Maturidi Barelwis on Ashari Deobandis ? The fatwas of Ahmed Rida Khan Barelwi al-Maturidi on the Ashari/Maturidi Deobandis.
And yet these neo-jahmis of our times have the audacity to accuse Ahl al-Athar wal Hadeeth of being deviant. The reality is that they are misguided and misguiding as Ibn Hajar says: "Enough with this misguidance" see the link below for complete quote.
Here is an example of Ashari Takfir:
