As salaamu alaykum.
Are there any fairly short tafsirs, designed for beginners on the path for knowledge, that anyone here would recommend, other than the Jalalayn which has been criticized for having errors with respect to its explanations of Allah's Sifaat?
Remember, I'm looking for works that are roughly the length of the Jalalayn and not too much longer.
Any suggestions?

Well...
1) As-Sa'dis tayseer is excellent
2) Abu Bakr Al-jaza'iri's aysar at-tafaseer
3) Any Tafseer done by shaykh ibn 'uthaymeen
4) Any by shaykh musaa'id at-tayaar (I only have his juz' 'amma)
5) Zubdat at-tafseer, which is an abridgement of Ash-Shawkani's fath al-qadeer
Hope this helps ....

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen wrote a Tafsir of the whole Quran?
And what do you mean by "Tayseer"?

I don't think he did the whole qur'aan but did tafseer of a lot of it - it is still being published bit by bit....

al-Tafsir al-Muyassar:

this book is excellent, and out of print... its supposed to be reprinted by Mujamma Malik Fahd Li Taba'at al-Mushaf, but they've been saying that for years. If you find a copy anywhere, make sure to buy it as it is excellent.
