I don't like it much either.
The original is still the best, mashaaAllah.
Good effort to the brothers though.

Well its good to know the feedback on this style of nasheed. Its different something that could be like a backround to a documentary or something. Thats nasheeds for ya sometimes when you make them they sound great to you but the people don't like the style. Thanx for the honesty, as they say its better to know the truth than live in a lie. Jizakum Allah khair.

Assalamu 'Alaykum,
Jizakum Allah khair for the feedback. LOL But yeah I've gotton really a bad review from all around the internet so no prob. These are ruff drafts to an album I'm planning on making some day in the future. I was firstly working on a English ghurabah nasheed and then just got motivated to do this one. The problem when making nasheeds is sometimes when you constantly hear something over and over and over again in the recording process you can't hear what other people hear, so something that sounds great to you could be like a screatching cat to someone else.
Anyways my music flavor is English and I think thats where I should stick. If this was done in English I don't think people would've thought the same. Its just we have such great nasheed to compare to in arabic that are by far better than anything I'll probley put out. Alhamdu Allah. So don't worry, for your guy's trouble in haveing to bare such a crappy nasheed I'm gonna hook you up with an english version, (and trust me so screaming choruses this time). I'll upload today two nasheeds I did in the past, Vest on Our chest and One Way mission. Thanx.

If you are going to cover a nasheed... make sure it sounds better than what already exists. Or at least try to copy the nasheed as is.
You also sing out of key.
Too much reverb...
The background should have had more harmony... also it is too monotonous. If a song begins to sound all the same, you know you're in problem.

Assalamu 'Alaykum,
Yeah, I don't know when I heard it in my head I was pumped, I liked the slow sinsiter type of rythm and it came out exactly how I pictured, but you know how it is sometimes things are just hit and misses. And like you said when you have an original nasheed, the remix should be the same or better.
Like I said to some brothers on another forum, its good that I got this feedback before I did the english version because who knows I might've been tempted to make it in this type rythm. Don't worry thought the English version is going to be very close to the original version of Ghurabah, give me a day or two and I'll be finished. So keep you eyes open, and later today I'll post some of my old stuff to give you an idea of my work.

DON'T DO THAT! If you do, I guarantee it would come out horrible! And if it DOES come out nice, I would call a genius.
Arabic Nasheeds cannot be rendered into English. It would sound extremely silly.
If you want to make English nasheeds, it has to be the way English ppl sing! And they DO NOT sing in Arabic melodies.

A bit like Ahmad Bukhatir's English nasheeds? They don't sound so good. His Arabic ones are better.

Well brother its not "EXACTLY" the same, even the lyrics I had to change a little bit of the meanings to ryme correctly. Heres the lyrics.
The strangers, The strangers, The strangers, The strangers
The strangers, The strangers, The strangers, The strangers
The strangers we don't bow our heads to no one but Allah
The strangers is the path we chose our motto for ever
If you ask us bout the tyrants we'll say that we do not care
We are soldiers of Allah upon a reserved path for the rare
The strangers, The strangers, The strangers, The strangers
The strangers, The strangers, The strangers, The strangers
The strangers we don't bow our heads to no one but Allah
The strangers is the path we chose our motto for ever
If you ask us bout the tyrants we'll say that we do not care
We are soldiers of Allah upon a reserved path for the rare
We don't fear your metal chains, we'll continue all the same
We don't fear your metal chains, we'll continue all the same
So let us make Jihad n battle n fight from the very start
The Strangers that are freed slaves by the world whos set apart.
The strangers, The strangers, The strangers, The strangers
The strangers, The strangers, The strangers, The strangers
The strangers we don't bow our heads to no one but Allah
The strangers is the path we choose our motto for ever
If you ask us bout the tyrants we'll say that we do not care
We are soldiers of Allah upon a reserved path for the rare
How many times back in the past that where of joyous memories
Reading Allah's book in the mornings and up until the late Evenings.

Akhi Magoo, can you or anyone else put up his 3 nasheeds on archive.org or in another way so we can just click them and play them off fire fox, as for some reason my download manager is going crazy telling me it will take 6hours to download something 4mb's !, and the normal way isn't working either

Salam Alikum
I heard that it was written by an Egyptian brother in the prison of tagooti regime. And when they brought him in court to pass out the death sentence he read it aloud.
Is that true?

No bro , he wasn't the Author of that POEM , the AUTHOR is (SAID KOTB) and he was executed by the president of egypt at that time JAMAL ABD NASSER , his story of execution was narrated by SHEIKH ABD ALLAH AZZAM rahimahu ALLAH on behalf of his sister HAMEEDA , when he was going to be executed they asked him to say he was wrong and to appolgize to them in order to release him with a HEALTH JUSTIFICATION EXECUSE but he said (By ALLAH I swear if I was dealing with some one else than ALLAH SWT , I would appollogize!? but from what should I appollogize now? [mentioning that he would never be regreted because he chosed the PATH of ALMIGHTY ALLAH SWT] ) , (SAID) rahimahu ALLAH had shown how muslims should stick to the right even if it would cost their lives.
It was recited first by the QURAN RECITER (SA'AD AL GHAMIDI) , and there is another version of another QURAN RECITER (SHEIKH AHMED BEN ALI AL-AJMI)
May ALLAH except them with the martyrs (SAID AND ABDALLAH AZZAM) and sustain us with MARTYRDOM insha'a ALLAH
