Assalamu 'Alaykum,

Okay you guys I finally finished the Ghurabah Nasheed in English, might I add that this is a RUFF DRAFT, so its quality will be low and there are little kinks here and there that need to be fixed once I lay it down in a studio. Anyways comments and critisms are welcomed, if its really bad then you can PM me and tell me what you think, every bit of advise helps. Jizakum Allah Khair.

Here are some links (Sorry if I keep using "sendspace" if someone else can upload it on another site it'll be greatly appreciated)

Here are the Lyrics to the Nasheed.
The strangers, The strangers, The strangers, The strangers
The strangers, The strangers, The strangers, The strangers

The strangers we don't bow our heads to no one but Allah
The strangers is the path we chose our motto for ever

If you ask us bout the tyrants we'll say that we do not care
We are soldiers of Allah upon a reserved path for the rare

The strangers, The strangers, The strangers, The strangers
The strangers, The strangers, The strangers, The strangers

The strangers we don't bow our heads to no one but Allah
The strangers is the path we chose our motto for ever

If you ask us bout the tyrants we'll say that we do not care
We are soldiers of Allah upon a reserved path for the rare

We don't fear your metal chains, we'll continue all the same
We don't fear your metal chains, we'll continue all the same

So let us make Jihad and battle and fight from the very start
The Strangers that are freed slaves by the world whose set apart.

The strangers, The strangers, The strangers, The strangers
The strangers, The strangers, The strangers, The strangers

The strangers we don't bow our heads to no one but Allah
The strangers is the path we choose our motto for ever

If you ask us bout the tyrants we'll say that we do not care
We are soldiers of Allah upon a reserved path for the rare

How many times back in the past that where of joyous memories
Reading Allah's book in the mornings and up until the late Evenings.

How many times back in the past that where of joyous memories
Reading Allah's book in the mornings and up until the late Evenings

The strangers, The strangers, The strangers, The strangers
The strangers, The strangers, The strangers, The strangers

Assalamu alykum,

I think its a lot better than your other one. Masha Allah its not bad at all. I guess there are bits where you're struggling for breath coz the lines are so long.. but I thought it was alright over all. I think its refreshing coz this is probably close to what the arabic speakers hear when they hear the arabic version. But I have to admit if i didn't already know the translation of ghuraba, i wouldn't have thought you were actually singing that in english coz the tune is different. But anyway, its good.

Wa 'Alaykum Assalam,

Yeah I was loosing my breath allot, and my stupid mic kept peaking out so on some really high notes it would "Crack" and make a horrible sound. So even now I didn't use my full potential vocally. In the near future when I go to the studio and lay it down it'll sound allot better, but at least you guys got the general idea. And thanx for the compliments, just make Du'ah for me that I remain sinciere and keep upon the correct manhaj with these issues.

Brother if you show me another uploading site where I can upload right away like sendspace without have to register or anything then I'll be happy to upload it for you.

Nice effort, however it really boils down to whether you would listen to this in your car or house and sit back to it and relax. Unfortunately for me, it doesn't do it.

You should await the opinion of the grand critic (AZ).

Assalamu 'Alaykum,

Yeah even I probley wouldn't just listen to it in the car or in some backround, really most of the Ghurabah nasheeds are like that anyways. From the brother that was sentanced to death to Shaykh Al-'Ajmi, its really just a solo singing nasheed to uplift you emotionally. Thats why I didn't really make it with any Hums and sounds in the backround of the nasheed like I would normally. Don't worry theres more to come insha Allah, I haven't made nasheeds in a while and I'm back into it. Oh and for those haveing trouble with "Sendspace" I uploaded some on "Yousendit" heres the links:

Jk for the effort brother.

If your on that thing akhi then why dont you try and do slower sounding nasheeds with background voices, maybe that would suit your voice better?

Put the other two old nasheeds on yousendit.com too , so we can compare.

Assalamu 'Alaykum,

Yeah when I started making it I didn't notice the beat was a little fast until I was probley halfway through, then I stopped for the day and the next day I got to listen to it with a fresh pair of ears and thats when I picked it up. For sure if I do it again it'll be slower, and I'm probley going to do as you say and make a backround sounded one and one without, for people to have veriety. Also another brother requested the chorus (The strangers) be said in arabic instead of english, so thats another option I'll probley hook up. Great advise bro, please keep it coming, all this helps to better the future nasheed. Jizak Allah khair.
