He shouldn't have killed them; this is going to excess.

He should instead have taken them to an ultra-conservative Muslim country, stripped them of their American citizenship, and laid down the law. Had he done that, then there was a chance that both he and the daughters would have gone to Paradise (i.e. if the girl had changed her ways through the father's guidance).

Instead, he killed his daughters and now both he and them will most likely burn in Hellfire, he for being a murderer and them for being lowly ho's.

This is from the purest of jahiliyyah. If the father is indeed the killer, than he acted in the most criminal of manners and deserves the harshest of penalties for murder. If indeed one of the girls was engaging in sinful acts like free mixing and dating, she should have been chastized or punished, but not brutally murdered. These so-called honor killings are the product of ancient jahil cultural practices and Islam is free from them. The other sad thing is that opportunistic opponents of Islam are quick to jump on these things to attack Islam (http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=24329), though they cannot provide the slightest Islamic proof to show that "honor" killings are condoned religious practices.

As a secular conservative-libertarian American and a father of a beautiful and precious young daughter, I consider the reverence Islam places on women extraordinary and necessary. I am appalled at the disrespect and abuse that women in the West experience on a daily basis by secular Leftists.

While the incident above has been heavily reported by the secular and Leftist US media -- thousands of women and children have been systemically abused, raped, beaten, and killed throughout the "civilized" West since without a whisper from the Leftist media.

I favor the legal equality of men and women, however the future would be far brighter if we in the West respected women socially and culturally to the same extent that they are respected and honored in the Islamic world.

While I am neither Christian or Muslim, the moral and cultural framework that my opinions have been formed is wholly from the Christian, capitalist, and democratic West.

One does not have to be a Muslim or Christian to know the difference between right and wrong.

However, I am grateful that my children live in a nation that is more respecting of religion than secular hell holes. Note that while there is abuses of women in the Leftist enclaves of American cities -- In the Christian conservative American heartland life is safe, secure, moral, productive, frugal, brave, and good.

It is unfortunate that all many in the world see of America comes from the secular Leftist academia, media, and hollywood.

Ummmmmm I don't think citing the West's abuse of women is relevant.

A Muslim man killed both of his daughters in cold blood out of mere suspicion. If Hadd belongs anywhere the man's head should roll in the street.

No Muslim in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area ever saw this man. He had no connection to Islam or the Masjid. He didn't pray. Didn't practice Islam. Yet, he murdered his daughters because they were supposedly dating non-Muslims??

It has also come to light that he sexually abused both his daughters when they were younger. More than likely this man was sexually obsessed with his daughters and this led to extreme jealousy over them. They probably had some male friend in school and that was all it took to set him off.

PLEASE do NOT talk about the West's abuse of women when confronted with this horrible matter. Those are mere distractions. When confronted with something like this, as Muslims we do not talk about anything else other than to speak the Haqq against this travesty against Islam by a man who had NO CONNECTION TO ISLAM other than his family background.
