Welcome to our Arabic Lessons Level Two
<o></o>
I know I sound like a broken record, but let me copy and paste to you this brief introduction from other levels, instead of writing one all over!
<o></o>
The Arabic language is very easy, but as it is the case with any other language, practise is what makes a difference.
<o></o>
If you think you are going to learn Arabic by simply understanding a few concepts here and there, then you are mistaken.
<o></o>
Arabic is not learnt over night. It takes YEARS.
<o></o>
I started learning Arabic over 12 years ago, and continue to learn and practise. I can never claim that I have learnt Arabic.
<o></o>
Learning Arabic requires a lot of patience and perseverance. Therefore, if one’s intention is sincere, and he is determined, provided that he fears Allah in open and secret, Allah will give him the understanding of the Arabic language, and open up for him the many venues to learn various other sciences, and thereby raising his rank in Allah’s sight.
<o></o>
It is only a person with the aforementioned qualities, who can really enjoy the recital of the Quran and feel how the companions felt when they heard the Quran, the literal Word of God.
<o></o>
Some brothers informed me that when they recited the Quran after they had learned Arabic, it was, as if the Quran came to life.
<o></o>
May Allah make us all from those who persevere, make our intentions purely for His sake, instil in our hearts the necessary Taqwa in open and secret and thereby grant us the understanding of His religion.
<o></o>
By now you should know:
1) how to make normal sentences
2) adverbs denoting time and place
3) how to attach pronouns to verbs like كتابي – كتابكَ – كتابكِ – كتابه - كتابها<o></o>
4) how to turn a normal verb into command
5) the concept of genitive construction كتاب خالدٍ<o></o>
And of course, a lot more Arabic words, than you what you knew in Level One<o></o>
<o></o>
Moreover, at this stage you SHOULD:<o></o>
<o></o>
1) be reading and reciting the Quran regularly (at least 10 minutes a day), for this will immensely improve your reading skills<o></o>
<o></o>
2) have a copy of al-Mawrid Pocket Dictionary (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/9953902305/sr=8-1/qid=1150455042/ref=sr_1_1/103-2400439-7318211?%5Fencoding=UTF8) which is a very useful Arabic-English and English-Arabic dictionary, and the famous Hans Wehr (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0879500034/sr=8-1/qid=1150455339/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-2400439-7318211?%5Fencoding=UTF8) dictionary available for only 12 USD. You need this dictionary at this stage.<o></o>
In this level, we will focus a lot more on making conversation. To this end, we have a special thread (http://forums.islamicawakening.com/showthread.php?t=946) for general conversation. ALL MUST participate in this thread.<o></o>

Moreover, most of this level will be taught in Arabic.<o></o>

فلنبدأ بسم الله<o></o>

الدرس الأول يكون في صرف الأفعال الماضية<o></o>
<o></o>
أنا صنعت لكم جدولاً لكي تفهموها و تحفظوها في أذهانكم<o></o>
<o></o>
لكن قبل أن نشرع لابد أن نفهم المنطق وراء هذا الدرس<o></o>
<o></o>
أولاًً: الكلام لا بد أن يكون متعلقا بثلاثة أشخاص على الأكثر
الأول: المتكلِّم الذي يتكَلَّم – أنا<o></o>
الثاني: المُخَاطَب الذي يُخَاطِبُهُ المُتَكَلِّمُ – أنتَِ<o></o>
الثالث: الغائب الذي يتكَلَّمُ عنه المُتَكَلِّمُ – هو أو هي<o></o>
<o></o>
ثانياً: في العربية – على خلاف ما عندنا بالإنكليزية –
ما هو مُفرَدٌ و هو واحد - الرَجُلُ<o></o>
و ما هو مُثَنَّى وهو اثنان – الرَجُلانِ<o></o>
و ما هو جمعٌ – الرِجَالُ<o></o>

ثالثاً: المذكور إما أن يكون مذكرًا كالوَلَد<o></o>
وإما أن يكون مُؤَنَّثًا كالبِنت<o></o>
<o></o>
إذا فهمنا هذه النقاط الثلاثة سَهُلَ علينا فهم الدرس إذ تصريف الأفعال مَبنِيٌ على هذه النقاط<o></o>
<o></o>
فإذا تكلمنا عن غائب مفرد مذكر، قلنا: فَعَلَ<o></o>
و إذا كانت مؤنثا قلنا: فَعَلَتْ<o></o>
<o></o>
و إذا تكلمنا عن مخاطَب جمع مذكر، قلنا: فعلْتُم<o></o>
و إذا كان مثنى، قلنا: فعلْتُمَا<o></o>
<o></o>
وهكذا...<o></o>
سهل جدًا أ ليس كذالك؟<o></o>

و هذا هو الجدول نزِّلوها على حاسوبكم و علقوها على جدار الغرفة<o></o>
