Angels do not enter not because of impurity. They do not enter because of pictures also. Pictures are not impure. This is conflicting though. Mother Aisha [ra] had made cushions out of curtains. The curtains had pictures on them. Which means there were pictures in the house still.

There is no underlying cause. The act is a simple worship.

Pictures of living things are generally considered haraam, there are different narrations about that but it doesn't mean something being haraam is najas

If someone has any reports from the Sahabah [ra]. Showing they considered dogs impure. This would be helpful.

Problem with your madhabs is that they legislate too much into the religion, they made Islaam into catholicism
