food question Assalam aleikum, I have a question about food. My parents who aren't muslim gave me a couple cans of food with meat in them. The meat is not halal so I need to get rid of it. I want to know if I should throw it away or give it to some other non muslim. Any thoughts? PS, I am sorry if this is in the wrong area, I couldn't think of what section would be more appropriate...

Re: food question I recently ran into something similar and I threw it out on the basis that we wouldn't re-gift alcohol.... but that was a pure 'aami qiyas.

Re: food question Yeah I am worried that throwing it away constitutes wasting food but then I would be helping in haram as far as I see it anyways.
