    I cannot translate it.

If a person believes that the correct time to pray Asr is that the verdict of Abu Hanifa (i.e. at 2 shadow) should he join in this case a jamaat who prays at the early Ar time (i.e. at 1 shadow) or should he perform the Asr on his own on the verdict of Abu Hanifa?

I have read the statement of Maulana Tahanawi in Ileau us Sunen that if one believes so, he should not join the jamaat but wait and pray on his own.

    Was salaam

i dont particurlarly belong to a madhab ( i dont have sufficient knowledge to choose one at the moment / ever) so what shall i do? i really want to pray asr on time and theres a difference of 47 mins between hanafi and the other 3 fiqhs. I'm thinking 3/4 is the safer option (is this a valid assumption?) but id be devastated if i prayed it too early and hence missed it. I always pray at home. Pls advise what is the consensus amongst the majority of scholars.

My opinion is in the last page of the doc.

Yes he did. That is his opinion.

Anyway, the issue is a minor.

    Whats your opinion ?

And how so a minor issue ?...According to the view of 2 shadow lenght, praying at 1 shadow lenght will not be valid.

    So?

For a Hanafi to read Witr behind a Hanbali Imam (in the Haramian for example) is a no-no too, yet many Hanafi scholars these days allow it.

For Hanafis to read Asr behind a Hanbali Imam (in the Haramian for example) is a no-no too, yet virtually all Hanafi scholars these days allow it.

So what were major issues before in the middle classical period are really now minor.
