Black Banner of Tawheed|If you thought the Benghazi demo was the end,you got another thing coming

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

If you thought the Benghazi demo calling for Islamic State(in late October 2011),holding Black Banners,very much similar to those used by mujahideen in Iraq,Arabian Peninsula,Somalia and elsewhere,was a one-off affair,then you were wrong.

A lot of hue and cry took place in Western media,after Black Banners,specifically of the design used by Islamic State of Iraq,Harakat al Shabab al Mujahideen,Salafi jihadi groups in Gaza ,AQAP,Tawhid Brigades(Pakistan) etc. started appearing across the Muslim world from 2010,most significantly in totally unarmed,civilian demonstrations.

First was when Egyptian Salafis used it in a demo calling to free Camelia Shehata .Then the phenomenon spread. Muslim protesters who tried to breach the Lebanon-Israel border used it. Jordanian Salafis started using it a lot.

With the coming of the Arab Revolutions,its now firmly in the mainstream.Tunisians are using it a lot,most recently by those who welcomed the martyr Yosri Triki's body(executed in Iraq) in Tunis.So are Egyptians,even in Tahrir Square. Sunnis of Bahrain used it.

Libyans are prominently using it ,specially in Benghazi.Libyan mujahideen carried it to the front lines, along with other common designs of Tawheed Banners. And bi idhnillah,this is just the beginning.

Today,26 Nov 2011,demonstrators in Tripoli(Libya) calling for Islamic Sharia,have proudly displayed it.

well the black banners first originated in afghanistan ,in early jihad period in 2001 or something...you forgot to mention .

as for libyan islamists,they are as yet not powerful enough to take over ,and will need a long struggle to islamise libya,because atleast at present libya is in grasp of secular nato slaves.
