This story seems to have a complete media block out.

In Germany, a 32 year old muslim wife was stabbed 18 times in a courthouse, her husband was stabbed and then shot, by mistake by the police, and the child was also stabbed, by a german racist. He had abused her constantly and so when the police failed to do anything she opened a court case against him. He was fined 750 euros, but appealed. It was in the appeals court that he stabbed her. This is the story but in german. You can use an online translator, but it all comes out backwards. Where is this story in the news? Imagine if it were a German man stabbed in an egyptian court. The whole world would be condemning such anti islamic behaviour.

Yet another example of racist brutality in the land of ideas.

During a hearing at the State Court in Dresden, 31-year-old Marwa was stabbed 18 times in front of her 3-year-old sun by 31-year-old Alex. Ten months before, the man had hurled racist insults at the women at a playground, which resulted in a fine 3 months later.

On August 21, 2008, Marwa was with her then 2-year-old at a playground in the Dresden suburb of Johannstadt. She had arrived in Germany together with her son and husband, Ali, three years prior to the incident from Egypt. Ali holds a fellowship at the renowned Max-Planck-Institut

On the playground, an argument arose between Marwa and and the 27-year-old Alex, where he insulted her with words like “slut”, “Islamist”, and “Terrorist.” After an official complaint was filed, a local court fined the man 780 Euro. The prosecutors felt that the punishment was too soft, and the man proceeded to appeal the decision. As a result, the appeal was heard by the State Court in Dresden in July 2009.

During the proceedings on the morning of July 1st, in addition to the accused and his state-assigned counsel, both Marwa’s 3-year-old son and her husband were in attendance. The routine process was running without incident, when the situation radically changed in a matter of seconds. As Marwa wrapped up her statement to the court, the accused man lunged at her with a knife he had brought with him. In front of her child, Marwa was stabbed eighteen times in less than 30 seconds. Both the defense attorney and Marwa’s husband attempted to get between the man and Marwa, resulting in Ali being stabbed. Two police officers, who stormed the hall, took Ali for the attacker, shooting him in the leg. Only afterwards could the real attacker be identified and taken into custody.

Marwia died right there in the courtroom as a result of the stab wounds. It is now become known that she was pregnant at the time of her death. Her husband was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The 3-year-old son, who was also injured, has been taken into care by friends. A spokesperson of the prosecution, Christian Avenarius, spoke a day after the incident, described the incident as the “fanatical actions of a lone man, who was acting out of feelings of extreme xenophobia.”

Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji'oon. Germany is very close to where I live, yet this is the first time I'm hearing this. More proof that Western media is biased against muslims and controlled by Western Governments. They probably did not want to let this story out for fear of how Muslims would react.

Whether or not there is a media bias against Muslims or not being a seperate issue, I disagree that the lack of media coverage on this story where you live is indicative of a bias.

This story, while horrible, was not publicised in the mainstream British press. (I understand you are not from the UK, the test I'm about to do maybe something you wish to repeat using your own countries media.)

It would be my understanding that a lone racist murder in Germany is not something which would be reported in the British press regardless of the race or religion of the perpetrator or victim. As a sort of test I tried turning the tables and seeing if the racist murder of a white British person gets reported in the German press. For this purpose I took the case of Kris Donald who's abductors were convicted of a racially aggravated murder (they were British Muslims). They had, "...held his arms and stabbed him 13 times. He sustained internal injuries to three arteries, one of his lungs, his liver and a kidney. He was castrated, had his tongue cut out, was doused in petrol, set on fire and left to die."

I did an advanced google search for the specific term, "Kris Donald" (and "Kriss Donald") to return results in German. There are no results on any German news site about the murder, the sole references to it that I found concerned a song written by the band Glasvegas about the incident. (It was a song from one of their popular albums.)

To ensure I wasn't being misled I searched the web-sites of Der Spiegel, Bild-Zeidung, Express (Deutsch) and Hamburger Morgenpost with the same. None had any articles about the murder at all.

The only two conclusions I think it's possible to draw are.
1. The mainstream media is biased against Muslims - but is also biased against Scottish/British people.
2. This incident is not indicative of media bias. (One might consider German media bias as I haven't searched the German medias own coverage of the crime - but that is far from certain.)
