Are you sure you are not talking about Salafis here?HOWEVER they have a lot of problems that they don't address :-
1. They suffer from arrogance and partisanship, in that their way is the only Way. Mojo lot are like this as well ( though worse in many respects).
2. They don't respect the classical ulema like Ibn Taymiyyah or Abdul-Wahab.
3. They have odd views regarding Manhaj
4. They are like a big pyramid scheme, with recruitment being everything though never doing anything for issues they could help with with that kind of influence unless it benefits their group

As'Salaamu Alaykum,
My point, although I should have made it clear, is that entities such as the Hizb' seem to espouse the notion that one as a Muslim must only think about the Khilafah, whilst neglecting the more fundamental duties as a Muslim.
I, as any other Muslim, would like to live under the Khilafah rather than a secular form of Government. However, reality is somewhat different and the route the Hizb' seem to follow is one which will bring out very little change. As Imam Anwar al-Awlaki stated in an article regarding the Hizb', bringing about the Khilafah in this day and age requires Jihad for the sake of Allah (azza'wajjal). However, look at the reaction and lack of support given by Muslims, to Muslims who are fighting for the sake of Allah (azza'wajjal) in order to establish Islam in lands wherein the Muslims represent the majority.
One should look to better himself as a Muslim and better those around him, and, Insha'Allah, the desire for the Khilafah will be a natural outcome. And Allah (azza'wajjal) knows best.

I have many differences with HT, but I can see why WHOSANE hates them so much from the same BBC article that he posted:
HT regards Islam as an entire system for life - in other words there should be no separation between religion and politicsSure beats Salafi secularism any day.Women who were intelligent, graduates and outspoken were targeted in particular, because if they were intelligent and accepted the ideas of Hizb ut-Tahrir it would give the group more credibility and kudosThe Hawaalian Alliance

Brothers, let us not get sidetracked by bickering amongst ourselves over our differences. The fact of the matter is that the Western Media isn't propagating this type of news because they disagree with HT's alleged views on pornography, the beard, punishment in the grave etc., they don't care two shoots about that. Rather, they seem obsessed to demonise anybody who calls for or supports any aspect of the Sharee'ah, regardless of whatever interpretation they have of it, be it the representatives of their own faith such as the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Leave the discussion of disputations for another time, now is the time to unite to defend the ongoing attacks upon the sovereignty of Allaah.

Good points bro Muhammad. Its like when they attack the "Wahhabis" for their "strict interpretation of the Sharia". You never see any of these deviant sufis etc stepping up and saying "hey, wait a minute.. this is islam that they're attacking!".
We shouldn't lose focus of the bigger picture. The kuffar don't care about our internal disputes and ikhtilaf.
