OC Gas, Rubber Bullets Disperse Late-Night Crowd Near Pitt
Police Arrest More Than 40 People Around Oakland's Schenley Plaza

UPDATED: 3:15 pm EDT September 25, 2009
PITTSBURGH -- Police fired OC gas and rubber bullets into a gathering of more than 1,000 protesters and students in Oakland late Thursday night.
Hundreds of officers dispersed the crowd from Schenley Plaza across Forbes Avenue.
A protester blows cigarette smoke in the direction of a group of officers during a demonstration in Oakland's Schenley Plaza Thursday night
Channel 4 Action News' Jon Greiner reported that the crowd moved toward the University of Pittsburgh student union and Bigelow Boulevard.
"When we broke up the crowd and dispersed them, they came up on Fifth Avenue and Forbes Avenue. A number of windows were broken, innocent people were assaulted in the street. What started out as a demonstration for a cause became riotous behavior," said Pittsburgh Police Deputy Chief Paul Donaldson.
Greiner said some of those in the crowd picked up the canisters of OC gas and threw them back at police.
The site of the protest was less than half a mile from nearby Phipps Conservatory, where President Barack Obama hosted a welcoming dinner for world leaders attending the G-20 economic summit.
Greiner reported that police broadcasted a high-pitched noise in attempt to break up the illegal assembly.

Oh my god! What repression! Is This Democracy?

In all "Western" countries, the Police have now become the increasingly brutal and almost always bullying enforcers for the privileged oligarchy who rule in the name of a fraud called "democracy", and whose mandate is to maintain the capitalistic and neo-colonial status quo.
Police chiefs and their minions - just like their counterparts in the kaffir armed forces - now regularly lie and use spin in order to justify their State sponsored violence.
Just listen to Pittsburgh Police Deputy Chief Paul Donaldson trying to justify the use of force: "innocent people were assaulted in the street...blah blah blah"
Increasingly, the kuffar can expect their Police to cite "national security" as an excuse for their repressive behaviour.
In the fraud called "democracy", the people are given a chance, every few years, to vote for people who, when elected, and despite all the promises they make, become part of "the system" and do little if anything to fundamentally change it. People are duped into voting for some mythical change, which never occurs, or voting for some candidate who promises change and reform, which never occurs. Just look at Obama in Amrika, who tinkers with this bit, and that, for public show, but whose policies are basically the same as before - more troops to Afghanistan, for instance; no solution to the poverty, injustices, crime, addiction, decadence, and inequality, which plague Amrikan society.

The crowd was breaking windows and throwing rocks at police officers. Do you expect them to do nothing? Other protests were held that were peaceful where the protestors obtained a permit and successfully made their point.
Citizens have the right of PEACEFUL protest.

Truth is, the Police were using force and their batons to try and clear the streets. Rocks and stuff were thrown after the Police had lobbed tear gas at the demonstrators and fired rubber bullets into the crowd.
A Police officer, for instance, was filmed beating a young woman with his baton.
So, a few people threw rocks at the Police, some of which may have hit and smashed windows.

Re: Gas and Rubber Bullets Used on Citizens
The police first asked the crowd to disperse. They refused to do so.
These G20 protests attract violent radcals who come armed with weapons and intend violence. Protests have become increasing violent over the past 20 years.
Simply assembling and having speeches and carrying signs is no longer enough for these people many of whom are Marxists, radcial feminists, animal rights activists, extremist environmentalists and homosexuals.

Like I said - Police acting like bullies. They didn't "ask" - they demanded with the threat of using brutal force if people didn't obey them.
The Police say: "do what we demand now, or we'll use force to get our own way." And they did resort to force almost immediately.
Bullies pushing people around.
Please don't give me the "radical anarchists came looking for trouble and caused the violence" excuse.
Instead, do me and yourself a favour, and go to a peaceful demonstration against the status quo and experience the bully boy tactics of the Police at first hand.
Pittsburgh, London, Berlin, Rome. It makes no difference these days.
Sure, some people may come looking for trouble - but that's mostly the Police whose attitude is now that of the bully. You can't reason with them. You either do what they want when they want or they'll use force and weapons to get their own way. Just like bullies.
But this is all beside the real point - which the fraud of "demon-ocracy", and the fact that the oligarchical status quo and this fraudulent democratic system are not a solution to the social and others problems which beset Amrika and all Western lands; problems such as poverty, inequality, addiction, injustice, usury and debt, and so on.
