Thanks, but I do think that we all know that already, that we are here by choice. I do however suspect that the opposition that some of the members are voicing in this thread is due to the fact that their expectations were set before signing up. They expected an Islamic environment where they could learn, exchange ideas as well as get latest news pertaining their religion, Islam. If they see something that is contradicting this, in their opinion of course, they do voice their opposition to this. It is wrong to say "our way or hit the highway", as that is not the Islamic approach to difference in opinions. Everything, unless haram, should be subject to discussion (unless preset, fixed issues), even the forum rules if there is something that contradicts the religion of Islam. Everyone's talk or words may be rejected, except for the words of Allah swt and the dweller of that grave (as Imam Malik said when pointing to the grave of the Prophet,sas) Let us not approach forums and their rules in the way the the non Muslims are doing.

just to add to that point, i dont think you realise how many times these issues have been discussed, our position is clear for people who have been here for a while

i dont think we are pushing the "its our way or the highway" stance, and i think saying that everything "should be subject to discussion" is a good point, i doubt there are many places where you can discuss as freely as IA

spend some more time on the forum and read through whats been said and discussed in the past and you may understand why i posted what i posted a little better

I think Kuffar should be allowed to post and have their silly attempts at 'debate' as long as it doesn't degenerate into clear cut abuse (eg calling names, stereotyping, abusing the Prophet (s)) with complete lack of substance. Morbius seems to be teetering in the edge.

60:4 There is for you an excellent example (to follow) in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: "We are clear of you and of whatever ye worship besides Allah. we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred for ever,- unless ye believe in Allah and Him alone"
