These types of stories always give me the chills. Wallahi, the thought of some khabith kafir touching a Muslim women makes me feel physically ill.

Hate crime charged in threat to Muslim

By Chrissie Thompson NEWS STAFF REPORTER

A 17-year-old male charged late Friday with a hate crime is accused of threatening to sexually assault a Muslim woman who at the Amherst Metro Rail station, Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority police said.

Darelle Drayton of East Depew Avenue is charged with felony aggravated harassment and criminal trespass. The woman was confronted shortly before 9 p.m. at the Metro Station and outside Parker Mosque at Amherst Street and Parker Avenue. The hate crime statute escalates the harassment charge from a misdemeanor to a felony, police said.

Drayton, accused of harassing the woman as she entered the station, told the woman, “You are not allowed to talk to me because of your religion,” according to the police report.

The woman, in her early 20s, left the station but Drayton followed her and, in a cell phone conversation with an acquaintance, was heard threatening to sexually abuse her, police said.

A Muslim man, whom the woman said she recognized, asked her if she was safe. She said he walked her across the street to wait for her family to pick her up.

The woman said she has always felt safe in Buffalo, even after Sept. 11, 2001, but she no longer feels safe visiting the neighborhood at night.

The woman said her parents encouraged her not to go to authorities but she decided to contact police.

“I just want to prove them wrong, that I can do what I want,” she said. “I’m not going to be silent.”

The woman also said she hopes her faith community does not find out her identity because Muslim women can face discrimination from other Muslims if they experience sexual harassment.

Officers John Popp and Mike Insalaco investigated the case.

May ALLAH Ta'ala protect our muslim brothers and sister from such disgusting vile people and acts! Ameen!

The woman said she has always felt safe in Buffalo, even after Sept. 11, 2001, but she no longer feels safe visiting the neighborhood at night.
to be honest, how many women in general would feel safe about going out a 9pm at night? What about men for that matter? Its not like its getting any safer. Here in the U.K there are kids willing to kill you for nothing!

That's why women shouldn't go out without a mahram. Why put herself in danger like that?? Especially in these trying times. May Allah (swt) protect us. Amin.

When muslim males were men and not as now, chickens, an army was sent out only because of the honour of a muslim woman was violated.
America is really asking for trouble.

There is a clear sickening double standard: Muslim women wearing the hijab are allegedly oppressed, but then these same people seem to have no problem when some non-Muslim man violates their dignity. There is a very warped sense of justice and moral outrage here!

How can you possibly condone sending an army when a single person has his or her honor violated? Can you at all understand the seriousness of that? If I tell someone that I think he's a moron, it doesn't give that person the right to annihilate my home city. How can you justify something as outrageous as that?

Sure it's horrible when a woman is sexually abused. In the case we're dealing with here, the woman was threatened with sexual abuse, but no physical abuse took place. Sexual abuse in America takes place every minute probably. The vast majority of those incidents do not include neither Muslim offender nor Muslim victim.

Should I also go on a personal crusade and raid entire city blocks with my friends and family here in Copenhagen when my sister is verbally offended sexually by a few Muslim kids living here? Or should I conclude that it is simply that small group who did the offending that needed some better nurturing from their parents?

We had someone once harm a Muslim woman in our area few years back..

For some reason somebody took it upon themselves to repeatedly engrave their boot mark on his face and burn his house down...

Terrible the things that happen these days...
