Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Ashadu Al La Ilaha Illal La Wadahu La sharika La Wa Ashadu Anna Mohammadin Abduhu wa Rasulahu.
May the peace and blessings of Allah swt be upon Mohammed (saw) his wives, family, Companions, and believers who follow him till the Day Judgement.Ameen.
Assalamoalaikum Wa Rahmatullay Wa Baraktuhu,
My precious Sister Afia,
You know better than me that the promise of Allah will come true…………….test is according to Imaan and I am ……..no way near you my beloved sister. In fact I am writing to you to ask Allah to forgive me and that you promise to intercede for me. I have never met anyone in my lifetime like you, so am in absolute awe of you. Allah truly has chosen you and Masha’Allah you are successful in this world and may Allah Aza Wa Jall give you the highest place in the Aakhira. My darling sister have learned too much from you never to despair ever never of the Mercy of Allah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Daily when I recite this in my Isha salah I think of you when Allah Ta’la says:”Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and women, and then do not turn in repentance ,then they will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning fire.” Allah never give them the chance to repent is my dua they must suffer in both worlds. I detest them for what they did and do to all my sisters and brothers. Allah give them misery, pain, depression, humiliation and die kaafirs so Allah gives them more pain.
“How wonderful is the affair of the believer. Allah does not decree anything for him but it is good for him. If good things happen to him, he gives thanks, and this is good for him; if bad things happen to him, he bears with patience , and that is good for him.”
With my meagre knowledge am only sharing few of the words of Allah and His Rasul (saw). I am sure you could tell me so much more if Allah willing we will be together one day. I pray to Allah that I can be with beliervers in the Aakhira . I live with kaafirs and Mushriks and have no mehram so am stuck(lame excuse). I have no place to go(another lousy excuse). Moreover am old and a widow(really limit of excuses). Alhamdolillah kullu haal. Compared to what others go through and do for Allah am ashamed of myself have no excuse please sister do pray for me that Allah gives me courage and protection to get out of this situation and die with firm Imaan. Allah accepts the dua of a oppressed person specially someone so precious like you. I remember you with every breath literally. Just cannot forget you, my beloved sister. How beautiful is this bond that Allah gives to the believers never felt this before. My heart aches for all the believers when I get any news my soul shatters just cannot express my feelings. When I cry and do dua khinzib tells me cry for yourself those people are all successful getting oppressed ,tortured and purified by Allah but what about you??? then I cry even more since its so true what will I tell Allah I did fee Sabilillah?????Nothing!!!! Did sabr and salah but never tied the horse and took a chance…………….Astaghfir’Allah have no excuse! Allah forgive…cry and repent and hope for the Mercy of Allah. Try my best to be shirk free. Trying to gain knowledge at this age but am amazed we were taught nothing.
Soul and heart are preserved by Allah of the believers. Body is insignificant. This is what I have learned from all the brothers and sisters like you. World is transient………strive , sacrifice……….for Allah then only will we find peace tranquility and hope to see Allah.
Allah swt says:”Do people think that they will not be left alone because they say:”We believe,” and will not be tested.”
How pathetic is my state ………maybe still have not believed the way you do , am trying to contemplate and rectify since there is no test for me. Its not possible to not get tested isn’t it???? If I believe?? Now am really scared for myself. Sat down to write to you and say things that will lift your spirits. My spirits soar when I see you and think of your, sorry my precious one that I am failing miserably in doing that for you….. am truly hoping that someone like you doing dua for me will make my state better in both worlds. Ofcourse I will keep striving till am firm believer In Sha’Allah Ta’la. You give me this boost of energy and I could face lions in a den. Allah bless you in both worlds and me too am such a fakirni. Well if we ever meet remember I will tell you I am that fakirni sister of yours who depressed you further at the pitiful state of herself.
While was I writing to you and crying a small ant came on my pillow out of nowhere and I stopped crying decided should give her something to eat so broke a piece of biscuit and gave she smelled it and did’nt bother so I tried to persuade her towards the food kept trying to use my fingers to make her go towards it. Wont believe she just wouldn’t accept my generosity she stopped running looked straight at me and gave me such a look I was stunned and stopped pursuing her to have the food. She made me realize she may be small but doesn’t depend on me nor need my generosity ………..Allah is Sufficient for her”. I felt so ashamed of myself. An Ant is so much more better than me. Allah forgive me …….I can give no one anything unless Allah wills. Learn daily and thank Allah. Alhamdolillah kullu haal.
See your sister truly is a fakirni the ant has more ghira than me. I am now too stunned for words. What a lesson I learned today its amazing. Allah swt must be so beautiful sister I want to purify and see Allah like you will……..In Sha’Allah Ta’la. I watch the birds doing salah and zikr and how they thank Allah all the time but we are so ungrateful. I guess this is my test since my level is sooo low but am not giving up will not catch up with but am determined to try……………..you are truly my inspiration my beloved one.
Love you for the sake of Allah forever and ever………….till we meet where Allah wills.
Don’t forget your promise to remember me in your dua am taking it for granted don’t be upset with me…………will cheer you up better Allah willing next time In Sha’Allah .
Your Fakirni sister

That letter struck me to be from one of the few who are upon Fitrat Al Islam these days.
Simple words, but with that innocent and sincere touch.
May Allah reward you all that hold an issue like this just as if it happened to your own mother or sister (blood).
This is the true Brother/Sister Hood of Islam.
Does anyone know if the letters will be handed directly to the sister from the lawyer or will letters be read by the prison authorities before hand ?

I am almost a 150% sure the authorities will read the letters. They would never let any material reach her without thoroughly reading it from top to bottom. I hear they sometimes even blot out sentences that have a religious tone in them such as those mentioning the name Allah, or May Allah... etc in letters to muslim prisoners so as to block any attempt to boost their morale, etc. These people behave like Fir'awn and his henchmen.

The letters are personally dropped off at the prison, and I was explicitly told that they are read before being given to her. Considering she is a federal prisoner accused of being an international terrorist, this should come as no surprise. So, please be wise in what you write.
I wrote this elsewhere, and I'd like to repeat it here:
Realize that every word that is sent to Aafia is read, copied, and stored by prison administration! References to the Mujahidin, swords, bullets, the blood of the kuffar, explosions, etc. will not exactly help Aafia or her case. Please realize the gravity of her situation - she is in federal custody! This is not a joke! Such letters probably won’t even make it to her anyway!

Assalamu Alayklum Rahmatullahi wa barakatu,
Sister Aufia,
I’m sorry to hear the pain you have suffered. I love you for the sake of Allah, and I only wish we had the power to help you. Do not forget sister the gardens of Jannah waiting for you. This life passes as the blinking of an eye, and soon on the day of judgment it will be the oppressors brought in chains.
It is possible the trials you are going through will be a source to raise your ranks in Jannah. Be patient and know nothing happens except by the permission and decree of Allah. Also remember there are many other believers with you going through this test.
Put your trust in Allah because he is the greatest source of hope. I ask Allah that he comfort your heart, restore your health and ease your suffering.
Assalamu Alaykum Rahmuttali wa barakatu
Your brother in Islam Naseer

That clarifies it. I did not read that other quote.

Which country is that ? because I haven't heard of that happening In UK , and perhaps some of the brothers and sisters can verify that, but from what I have sent that hasn't happened.
Deeds are your money on the day of judgement , make sure you collect plenty now.

I am definately sure that i have read accounts from prisoners saying their letters were either totally with held or when they recieved the letters, about 50-60% of it was blotted out. A while back i even read of a man whose daughter wrote him a poem and when he finally recieved it, half of it was blotted out by the authorities, over a very silly reason along the lines of 'his daughter was porbably trying to communicate with him in code', etc.
Here is an example:Censoring of letters to David Hicks
US Censoring letters written by children
And while I was living in the UK I heard of similar practices towards UK prisoners also.

Must be different places ,or for different cases, because even for arabic or Islaamic words, they only delay the letter getting to the person while its translated (thats for certain prisons in UK)
