Wrong, please learn Arabic. That was my son Abdel Rahman who is in his 3d year of Islamic studies who grew up almost 9 years in Palestine and more than 3 in Morocco that typed that. He clearly stated who he is . May this be a lesson to you and humble you before you post.You have commited and act of thulem to me and now it is between you and Allah.

I think I understand, did you say that I may know many of the grammaticla rules of the Arabic Language but that I may still make mistakes in my speaking and that how could I understand how to read khutbah without this knowledge. Do you know what I mean???

Oh my brother in Islam, I never give khutbah and I have no knowledge to claim the ability to speak about the religion in detail, but I do think I understand the religion and its practical application and trying to speak it is how you get better at it. It is hard enough to speak publicly in English and my mind still doesn't flip from English to Arabic well. I was told to try to use it and was under the understanding that the same has occurred for converts to this deen with language barriers. I thought Allah would correct the mistake and write extra reward. Wallahi, I don't claim expertise in religion, but whenever Muslims get debated in secular, academic terms we tend to get embarrassed or have to rely on sufis to speak for us. I always hated that since my early days as a Muslim and so I set out studying first in the madrassa of Yusef (AS). My academic knowledge is from the same source as Malcolm's only after I came back out of the belly of beast I arrived in a homeless shelter in NYC and kow I sit at Columbia University and talk to these weirdo rich kids. I am proud of myself but I know at the end of the day all praise is for Allah. Wallahi, I intend to spend the rest of my life speaking against oppression and Allah continues to open up the door for me to new avenues everyday. He promised to make the road to jennah easy for the one that sought knowledge and I hope that he makes it easy on all of us. Abdul Rahman is not in third grade and I think what he was trying to do is only come to my defense because thats my nigga! Let us all step back and calm down. Now if there are specific criticisms of the brother's approach or the statements he made then those points should be stated and explained as to why to are considered wrong or erroneous. The brother Yunus as not acted in a hostile manner to anyone on this forum, at least not that I have ever seen, and he deserves to be treated with some respect and dignity. If he makes a mistake (and I don't know that he has) advise him with the best of manners. If you are trying to correct the brother I highly doubt he is going to listen to you if you just come out belittling him. That is not the methodology of our Prophet (s.a.w).
