Khadduri's report went like this: "A few days ago, an American manned check point confiscated the driver license of a driver and told him to report to an American military camp near Baghdad airport for interrogation and in order to retrieve his license... we have forwarded your papers and license to al-Kadhimia police station for processing. ...The driver did leave in a hurry, but was soon alarmed with a feeling that his car was driving as if carrying a heavy load, and he also became suspicious of a low flying helicopter that kept hovering overhead, as if trailing him. He stopped the car and inspected it carefully. He found nearly 100 kilograms of explosives hidden in the back seat and along the two back doors.

Like the mujahideen of the Islamic state of Iraq have said many times over and over again , they don't and never have blown up cars in civilian areas ,muslim or rafidha , its the Americans who do this to tarnish the reputation of the mujahdeen and turn the people against them.

i think its partly about the oil. ultimately its about denying muslims the chance to rule their lands and thereby establish a path on the correct aqeedah.

the west is not really that dependant on middle eastern oil at the end of the day. and day by day that dependency is decreasing. currently, their only interest in middle eastern oil is to set the agenda in terms of prices, as demand and supply affects this. this is probably only a middle term aim.
america and the west r rapidly sourcing oil from other areas (russia, south america and central asia).

every intervention by the west (read zionists) into muslim lands has been to snatch leadership from the muslims of their own lands. the kuffar fear the islamic aqeedah much more than our oil.
the kuffar have learnt their lesson from 1973, and it wont be repeated. that issue has been dealt with.
