The article did not give me the impression that Yasir Qadhi "befriended" Blair. Rather, it gave me the impression that he was extremely critical of him, was aware of the atrocities he committed, and challenged his positions compellingly and effectively, inevitably making him look like a vacuous idiot.

I am sure that a lot of members of this forum would have done the same if they had the chance - to Bush, Blair, Cheney, or whomever it may be.

    Assalamualaikum,

It wasn't a simple decision. He made istikhara, put his trust in Allah and made his choice. What was in his heart Allah knows best.

And anyway no harm was done...so who cares?!

And We made their hearts firm and strong when they stood up and said: "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, never shall we call upon any Ilaah (object of worship) other than Him; if we did, we should indeed have uttered an enormity in disbelief...""

SubhanAllah look at how different the responses on the article are.

Akhie Raad i am with you, and to Sharif10 it sounds very much like you will defend the guy till the death based upon your love or appreciation of Qadhi.

I knew other ulema or at least students and questioned his opinions and stated that his opinions were dodgy but this just takes the biscuit. How people can claim that he was speaking out against taghout is beyond me. The guy sat and got taught by one of the heads of the shayateen amongst inns, he was mocked and in the end the taghout blair probably just saw him as an irritating bearded guy who kept asking annoying questions.

Ive left the forum in which he participates on because i know that if i try to put my opinion across i will be labelled a trouble maker, takfiri etc etc.

Unfortunately those left on there and some on this forum will blindly making comments like 'if there was any alim on earth who i would have chosen to face upto blair it would be shaykh yasir qadhi'.....that comment just made me sick and i couldn't tolerate it anymore.

As for this forum its home ground for me and i will face anyone who defends this guys actions with harshness because even a child can tell you that a man who has the blood of millions of muslims on his hands can only be spoken to in a language he understands.

the harm done is in setting a bad precedent/ example - after he advertised it like it was something right

is this a good example of accounting according to the Quran and Sunna???

to enroll on a war criminals study course?????

    subhanAllah

I'm sure i wouldn't enroll on a course taught by a war criminal, to put myself in the position of being one of his students, and to have him have the obvious position of advantage over me etc.

what a joke, what was in his heart? are you for real? we dont know what was in his heart but on the apparant a guy who seems to have captured the hearts of many young muslims, has humilated himself and has encouraged others to do the same.

im open minded and maybe am not aware of this happening by the real scholars of islam throughout history so please point out a incident where a scholar decided to attend a course of one of the heads of taghout that had just finished invading muslim land.

i could even understand if he stood up and condemned blair outright even if it meant he got kicked of the course but for the sake of Allah, the man admitted he never adopted a argumenatitive tone once. So how the heck can people claim he spoke the word of truth infront of the tyrant ruler. Im no big fan of George Galloway but at least he would have the b***s to confront blair unlike our middle path shaykul islam qadhi.

Akhi, my natural inclinication is to give brothers the benefit of the doubt. Similarly, I was not defending him. As I said, I don't personally think it would an easy decision for any muslim, even knowing that you would have to sit and listen to that smug kafir terrorist, and I personally sit on the fence on this one.

To be honest with everyone I only skimmed parts of the article at the start. Sadly I ended up reading it. Allah knows best. But some how I feel Brother Yasir Qadi is impressed by this Shytaan. And here is a few quotes from many that made me sick:

The class itself was definitely the most unique I’ve ever taken in my life (and during the course of the last 17 years of University-level education, I can sadly claim that I have taken many, many, many classes…).
17 years of university level? Does that include the years he spent in the Madina University?

I don't see what's so unique about this class. If he just studies politics he'll realise there's nothing unique.

Mr. Blair came for our third session. He went around the entire class and shook our hands, one by one, asking our names. As is to be expected, he was his charming self and quickly managed to ingratiate himself amongst the crowd. (As a side point, one of the greatest lessons I learnt from the class was the art of public speaking, for there is no denying that Blair is one of the most eloquent politicians and speakers of our time).
So obviously he shook hands with him. I wonder why he didn't mention how he felt while shaking hands with this Shytaan.

From the article I don't see much disgust. I mean really if a man was to kill my sister would I won't to sit in his class?

Is the Ummah not equal to our blood relations? Where is the one body.

If Brother Yasir really wanted to know one reason he should not have attended this class.

The millions of litres of blood spilt of the Ummah. I can't believe what I read.

I could never imagine him to sink himself so low. Did he not study the incident of Umar r.a when he went to Alqsa?

Where can we find Izzaa other than in Islam?

    Allah Knows best.

Akhi ask the mothers of the widows and ask the orphans to give him the benifit of the doubt.

MAsha'allah I see the picture of Khataab r.a on your nick Name. Can you imagine what he would have thought of someone doing this?
