A soldier from the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards has been killed in an explosion in southern Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defence has said.
The blast happened in an operation near Gereshk in central Helmand province on Sunday. Next of kin have been informed.
British forces have been involved in a major offensive codenamed Operation Panther's Claw against Taliban strongholds in Afghanistan.

UK soldier killed in Afghan crash
A British soldier has been killed in a helicopter accident in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defence has said.
The soldier, from 22 Engineer Regiment, Royal Engineers, died alongside two Canadian troops when their aircraft crashed in Zabul province on Monday.

Just like to point out the kuffar have been fighting non stop for 2 and half weeks now on Operation Panthers Claw,this is one of the most major battles and literally a make or break tactic due to their desperation to controls the south and inso may Allah grant the mujahideen victory,ameen..
note they are also fighting the americans on another front also in the south,may Allah grant the mujahideen victory on that front also,ameen..

There is a report today that the Mujaahideen have escaped the operation of the kuffar- and they didn't mention abayas and broud shoulders...! (which is beginning to be their excuse everytime now)

They (jews and Christians ) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides allah (by obeying them in the things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by allah),and they (also took as their lord) messiah (JESUS) , son of maryam ,while they (jews and Christians) were commanded (in torat and injeel)to worship none but one ilah (GOD,),LA ILAHA ILLA HUWA (NONE HAS THE RIGHT TO BE WORSHIPPED BUT HE).PRAISE AND GLORY IS TO HIM ,(FAR ABOVE IS HE) FROM HAVING PARTNERS THEY ASSOSCIATE (WITH HIM).
