I have a Q about the camel hump Hijab

Does it still take on a camel hump ruling if it is your natural hair that's tied in a low bun?

Because I heard just now it does :/
Im like well, what else should we do, shave our hair off??

walaikum salam wa rahmahullahi wa barkatuhu sisif the hair is tied in a very low bun, by that I mean the bun is right over the neck, then it's fine because it doesn't look like a hump anymore. maybe you could also braid your hair before putting on hijab? that minimizes the volume as well. hope that wad helpful. Although I will try to get her into the sister's section, and facilitate that if/when I can. I don't think this thread actually needs to be in there.

Discuss this from a fiqh perspective, don't get chit-chatty or personal with speech/descriptions - and I can see the benefit of this here. Not every sister will have access to the sisters' section, and many times I've encountered questions I've had answered through a forum search, so the same may happen to sisters' outside of this forum as well, thus although I give a reminder, I see no need to move this to the sisters' section.

Interesting, but do any other scholars say this? I came across this fatwa:

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked: What is the ruling on a woman gathering her hair on top of her head?

If the hair is gathered on top of the head, this is regarded by the scholars as being included in the prohibition or warning that was narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in his hadeeth: “There are two types of the people of Hell whom I have not yet seen: … and women who are clothed yet naked, astray and leading others astray, with their heads like the humps of camels, leaning to one side.” So if the hair is on top of the head, it is not allowed. But if it is at the nape of the neck, for example, then there is nothing wrong with it, unless the woman is going out to the marketplace, in which case this is a kind of tabarruj because it can be noticed through the abayah, so this comes under the heading of tabarruj and is a means of fitnah, so it is not allowed.

I still don't understand what it has to do with the marketplace ^ there though. Does anyone know what it is meant to mean (it being tabarruj because it can be noticed)?

I know this isn't about this camel hump hijab but at the one eid event I couldn't believe all these jilbabi sisters wearing a "jilbab" where there chest is all over the place! Don't think I was looking it was just soo blatant etc laa hawlaa wa laa quwwatta illa billah! I can't believe sisters think its ok that their chest is like that! Wha exactly is being covered?

I think, in discussions such as these, an acknowledgement needs to be made that many sisters who wear camel hump hijabs or wear "hijab" whilst still being uncovered, are themselves confused, ignorant and not necessarily doing it for male attention. There are so many factors at play including following popular celeb culture and fashion, peer pressure and parents/family and impressing elders for marriage or work opportunities etc*

I feel these topics often turn into young female bashing, when the reality is that often kind sincere naseeha goes much further than scoffing or mocking our sisters who are after all a part of us.
