most likely because he consider rawaafid to be muslims and in kuwait he is famous to mingle with the rawafed and their "shoyoukh"
he is of ikhwani manhaj if anyone didn't know
he recorded amongst others, the famous qisas al anbiya series ..
the problem is that he do not, or very seldom mentions the sources of the stories, and ahaadeth which he mentions

I honestly don't know anything about that. I know that Dr. Tariq as-Suwaidan does have some modernist tendencies, but I vetted this specific lecture and didn't notice anything wrong. If someone finds anything seriously wrong in this lecture, point it out to me and I'll take it down.

Yes ackhi something like this also he said he isn't a talib ul ilm or an alim, and just said I advice you to not listen to his tapes Allaahu Alam for the exact reasons but thought it worth mentioning if anyone wishes to look into it or press the shaykh for more details about it.

Not with standing the talk is rather good mashallah and he speaks well.
