how to be an imam in the west? Salaamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
I was wondering, is it really possible to be an imam in the west without either getting arrested for being a "terrorist"
or
watering down your deen?
For example, what happened in fort hood, how do we explain this to the kuffar without getting in trouble?
Either you say you agree with the shootings and you're in trouble, or you say you don't agree and if you agree with the shootings you would be lying.
How do we face dilemmas like these?

It depends on what the specific role, and definition of an Imam is. This differs from place to place. Also depends on the individual too.
