Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK
So valuable is Laylatul Qadr (The Night of Power) that the Quran devotes a special surah to it “Lailatul Qadr is better than a thousand months” [97:3]
Abu Huraira (RA) narrated that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whoever stands (in prayer) in Laylatul Qadr while nourishing his faith with self-evaluation, expecting reward from Allah, will have all of his previous sins forgiven.” (Bukhari and Muslim).
Not only does the worship of this one night surpass the value of 30,000 nights which is over 83 YEARS OF WORSHIP but an entire lifetime of sins wiped out in this unique and blessed night!Subhanallah!
There is no way we can afford to miss out on such a blessed night!
According to authentic narrations it can be found in any of the last 10 nights of Ramadan, most likely the odd numbered nights of the last 10 nights of Ramadan: Which are the 21st night, 23rd, 25th, 27th & 29th nights. Most scholars say that it is likely to be on the 27th night but there is no guarantee of this and so to catch this night we must worship all the odd numbered nights or as many as we can manage.
The dates for Laylatul Qadr in the UK are:
21st night - Wednesday 8th August from Maghrib until Fajr
23rd Night - Friday 10th August from Maghrib until Fajr.
25th Night - Sunday 12th August from Maghrib until Fajr.
27th Night - Tuesday 14th August from Maghrib until Fajr.
29th night - Thursday 16th August from Maghrib until Fajr.
Remember: We can gain 83 years of worship reward and forgiveness for an entire lifetime of sins for worshipping on this one special night. So we CANNOT afford to miss out. If we are working on the days after those nights and we can take those days or go work later on that day then we should try to, even if it means we to work go tired on those days, so be it as it is only once a year whre this opportunity comes and we may NEVER get such an opportunity again as we may not be alive next year!
So make the commitment!
So we should all make a firm commitment to devote ourselves in worship on all of the last 10 nights, if not then on the odd numbered nights, if not then at least on as many nights as we can. If we still cannot do that then at least on the 27th night. We should worship Allah with full sincerity, hope for immense reward, forgiveness and mercy from Allah for an entire lifetime of sins.
We should also make a firm commitment to Allah that we will change ourselves for the better for the rest of the year as Ramadan is for life not just for one month.
We must remember that our time is very short and that this may well be our very last Ramadan as it was the last Ramadan for so many who thought they would make it!
So let us grab this opportunity with both hands! If we walk towards Allah then he will run towards us!

Re: Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK The 27th Night of Laylatul Qadr is TONIGHT! The Majority of scholars believe Laylatul Qadr will fall on the 27th Night
"Verily this month has come to you where there is a night better than a 1000 Months. Whosoever is deprived of it, is deprived of all good; and none is deprived of its good except a totally unfortunate person ”. (Ibn Majah)
"Whosoever stands up (in prayer) on the Night of Power out of faith & hopeful of reward, all his past sins will be forgiven." (Targhib)
How unfortunate is the person who misses out on such a blessed night where on can gain over 83 years of worship reward which is more than an average lifetime and an entire lifetime of sins forgiven!
The Majority of scholars believe this night will fall on the 27th night of Ramadan. The night comes before the day so the night will be from Maghrib on the 26th day of Ramadan until Fajr.
So let us not miss out on worshipping Allah on this blessed night lest we be of the unfortunate ones who will be in utter regret for eternity!

Re: Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK I have been told by most people it is one of the odd nights and it could be any?
Forgive me for my uncertainty, however, I was under the impression that the belief that Laylatul Qadr is on the 27th was a misconception?

Re: Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK Islam Question and Answer - How should we observe Laylat al-Qadr and when is it?Fourthly:
With regard to specifying which night of Ramadaan is Laylat al-Qadr, this needs specific evidence, but the odd-numbered nights during the last ten nights are more likely than others, and the night of the twenty-seventh is the most likely to be Laylat al-Qadr, because that is mentioned in the ahaadeeth."Pay attention to your heart, beware of raising yourself above others, and beware of belittling others"Sheikh Abdullah Azzam

Re: Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK I dont really know, but I found this:
Kalamullah.Com | Ramadan | In the Shade of Laylat al-Qadr: Seven PointsIbn Kathir mentioned (4/690):“...And it was reported that some of the Salaf used the Qur’an to conclude that it is on the 27th night because the word åí (it is) is the 27th word in the chapter, and Allah Knows best.”
And also from the same site:
Ibn Hajar said (4/328):“...This might have a benefit linked to legislation...or exertion in worship, because if the Night of Qadr was specified to be on an exact night, people would limit themselves to that night and miss out on the worship on other nights. It is as if this is what the Prophet meant when he said: “...this might be better for you.””"Pay attention to your heart, beware of raising yourself above others, and beware of belittling others"Sheikh Abdullah Azzam

Re: Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK Walikumasalaam wa rahmatulahi wa baraktuh
Great info alhamdulliah jazakAllaah Khairun for posting !
Im with Umm_Umar on this, I know theres 'certain' reports suggesting it could be certain nights, but this is something that is only with Allaah and I read in Bukhari that even Muhammad PBUH didnt know when this blessed night was (said He pbuh was caused to forget)
So no one knows for sure when It is and we should do extra worship on every night to catch this blessed night!

Re: Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK Tonight is the 29th and so there is a great possibility that it may be Laylatul Qadr. On top of that it is Jummatul Wida which is the last Friday of Ramadan and so we should make the best of this blessed night by worshipping Allah, thanking him, and making a firm commitment to him and to internalise in our minds that we will change for the better and strive to bring our deen into our lives and to do everything to please him and refrain from anything that may anger or displease him.

Re: Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK The special Hour of Acceptance:
The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said: "On Friday there is a particular hour if a Muslim happens to make Dua to Allah for something good then Allah will surely fulfill his request"... (Bukhari)
This hour could be anytime on Jummah but the Majority of scholars believe there is a greater possibility that this special hour is the hour between Asr and Maghrib. So in the UK it is between 19:30 pm until Iftaar time today in your country just calculate an hour before Iftaar.
On top of that it is also the last Jummah of Ramadan and so we should make the best of this special hour and make a long, intense & sincere Dua to Allah & remember the oppressed Muslims. Please mention me in your Dua's to. to.
