subhanAllah how things have changed. I think hajj was more physically challenging back then. They have coaches going everywhere nowadays.
The coke stand is classic - gloabalisation way back then too!

They were published in 1953.
It must have been very peaceful then . My husband's grandfather went there my camel and al-quds in the sixties from the UAE .
Areoplanes have made the world smaller , and I have to admit seeing the masses going round the Kab'a today is something that makes the heart beat faster.
