Self study courses?

I am in need of any self study courses concerning whatever is mandatory upon a Muslim to know, in either English or Portuguese manuals. Are there any beginners guide on creed and jurisprudence which may also include the sciences? I have no interest in hadith science right now, unless it is also mandatory than my interest can change.

Is it achievable to still study fiqh while leaving off all the schools of thoughts?

for creed i'd reccommend 'Fundamentals of Tawheed' by abu Ameenah Bilal Philips

Sh. bin Baz or Sh. Albani's book on Salah should suffice.

If you have nisab you might want to find something that disusses zakat

and of course fasting...

in the end....u just need to find a qualified mufti to find out what u need to know...

p.s. bilal philips Islamic Studies books are very good in my opinion, he designed them for Islamic Schools but are fairly detailed.....

^ Yes those links Brother Muhammad gave are really good. Remember to take things slowly though and you'll get through them fine InshaAllaah.

And for some E-Books, check this out: www.islamebook.com <--- There's plenty of stuff there, don't personally know what I'll suggest to you though, sorry.
