Shaykh Abu Yusuf Riyadh ul Haq

has any one heard of the shaykh talk on aqeeda?
i ask cos many brothers i know listen to him, some are salafi and sone are nuqshbandi, how does he satisfy both parties?
i havent heard many lectures of the shaykh

Yes brother Ive listened to his lectures on aqeeda and I also listen to other lectures by the shaykh.

I asked him about the sifat of Allah and how we should understand them,and his aqeeda is the same as brother Abu Zubair's with regards to this also his aqeeda lectures are in accordance with what the salafi's believe.

He is hanafi in fiqh and a very good speaker,he's hafiz of quran and is currently going through sahi bukhari at the al kawthar accademy.

i was listening to one of his lectures, on bukhari and for soem reason i felt liek he was justifying the concept of kashf....so my question woudl be what is the proper understanding of kashf???

i listened to riyad al haaq more than one time, and he some how he manages to finish off with talking about kashf and saints, and his so insistant that saints do have some minor mircales, and they do have insight into a little bit of the ghaib, and at that point i normly switch off, he does possess alot of ilm and his arabic is good masha~allah, but his aqeeda is based on falshood.

Ive listened to many lectures by shaykh Riyadh ul Haq and have never once heard him mention anything to do with kashf,maybe you can tell me the name of a lecture where he has talked about it so I can listen for my self?

As for the karamat of awliya then this is the belief of the ahlus sunnah and no one denies this,so I dont see why you swich off when you here about the aqeeda of the ahlus sunnah,but having said that Riyadh ul Haq is not someone who always talks about saints and their miracles infact I dot think ive heard him mention this that often if ever.

With regards to his belief in the sifat then he has told me that "we believe in the sifat mentioned in the quran and sunah without taweel without likening to the creation we accept them as they have been narrated"and he has made this clear in his lectues on aqeeda (comentry on aqeeda tahawia)he has also made clear his belief with regards to istawa in the same lectures and has stated that Allah subhana wa ta ala is upon his arsh as has been mentioned in the Quran,and he quoted Imam Malik (ra)when he said Istawa is known and the reality/howness is unknown.

Shakh Riyadh is an excellent speaker who is a reliable source of knowledge may Allah preserve him and all the rightly guided ulema of the ahlus sunna wal jamma.

When speaking about this particular shaykh or if you refute he is a shaykh, then riyadh al haqq, his history should be taken into account. He was giving much dawah 8, 9 years ago, when the super salaf were trying to get a foothold in birmingham, and they were the ones who started the rumours of his currupted aqeedah. His earlier works were highly commendable, but since the clean up he has had to toe the line, if you understand. Instead of claiming he has a corrupted belief, you should investigate yourself, as he is still alive, i doubt this is a hard thing to do, and then make a conclusion, instead of relying on hearsay.

wasn't he involved in a police raid? and was it not his sufi mureeds who were being investigated for some major crime?

My dear brother he affirms Sifaat upon the Apparent meaning? He is not amongst the maturidiyah? I know he is upon Sufism im not sure if he is upon any sufism that contains bidah however i would be curious to know if he really does accept sifaat upon the apparent meanings (ie like the salaf)

I could also ask shaykh husayn adam as he has recieved abu yusuf riyad ul haq not too long ago in south africa.
