isnt Yasir Qadhi of the view that there is no physical jihad anywhere in this world today?
coz I remembered him saying that in peace conference held in Mumbai in november 2007 organized by peace tv and IRF
Manzil ki tamanna hai to kar jihad musalsal...khairaat mein chaand sitarey nahin mila karte

In reality he has no vision for anywhere.

PPl like hamza Yusuf are much more visionary. Right now they are setting up what will no doubt be the leading islamic seminary in the USA. Also i have noticed that a lot of african american muslims are now on that 'traditional islam' bandwagon and they are the real future of islam in the USA.

I guess his speech and views are in line with those dreaming of a church wedding, may Allah swt disgrace them both

What gets me about him giving this lecture (and he has given it dozens of times around the West) is that he forgets the concept of li kulli maqamin maqal (for every situation, there is a proper thing to say).

For example, he goes around stressing that "Muslims should remain in the West" to audiences that don't want to leave the West in the first place, and that "Muslims should integrate and be proud of being American Muslims" to audiences that are already in love with the West and have gone over and above in integrating into Western society. Without having known who he was speaking to, one would think that he was giving this speech at an airport ticket counter crowded with American Muslims desperately boarding planes to move back to Muslim countries.

From a psychological perspective, I get the impression that he is trying to reassure himself more than he is trying to teach the audience something that they weren't already doing in the first place.

He is right about one thing, though: 9/11 radically changed everyone.

A very careful watchful eyes and mind are required for the listeners. JazakAllah brother for your thoughts.
Do they not then consider the Quran carefully? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much contradictions (Quran 4:82)

"May Allah disgrace them"? Don't you fear Allah [swt]? You *do* know that it is haram to curse fellow Muslims? Or has your takfeer gun gone off again ?

What happened to the idea that we shouldn't hate or love someone entirely? Surely you aren't cursing someone you love? What hypocrisy on the part of you khawaarij!
