What's the field of Muslim Apologetics ?
Deeds are your money on the day of judgement , make sure you collect plenty now.
Say (O Muhammad SAW):"I am not a new thing among the Messengers (of Allâh) (i.e. I am not the first Messenger) nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am but a plain warner." (Al-Ahqaf 46:9)

Good for William and Morbius to watch.Deeds are your money on the day of judgement , make sure you collect plenty now.

For some reason the video doesn't load.
Anyway, religion is not science that has to base everything on evidence. All religions ask you to swallow some things on faith, in the end the question is what makes most sense to you.
For me it's Christianity, but I can understand that for others something else can make more sense.

Generally, you are correct about this. However, keep in mind that Islam does not command anything which the Fitra, once the human mind and soul is freed from any illusions or preconceived notions which may bind it, would reject. Fitra is regarded as an important factor in our Din, such as how purified one's soul is or those factors which lead the self and ego to commit disobedient actions.
This is why the Holy Qur'an encourages human beings to reflect upon the Signs of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala), to use our logic to realize what is the Truth. Neither is there any Islamic belief which is incompatible with logic. All the commands of Allah (Azza wa Jall) make perfect sense when considered honestly, free from those illusions which blind the human mind.Last edited by Suhaib Jobst; 17th June 2008 at 10:02 PM.

Reality though Morbius is that Christianity isn't really a religion. So as long as you accept Jesus is your Saviour and died for your sins, you are good to go. This is the only thing required in order to be Christian. This is more akin to some new fad instead of a religion.

Again, different people have different logic and different understanding of some things. Complex mathematic models of relativistic physics might seem like gibberish to a layman, but to a physicist they make sense. Likewise, complicated and mystic message of Christianity repels some, but it actually makes a lot of sense to me.

content removed! It makes sense to you that mankind would be burdened with the sin of Adam, and that God would send his innocent son, have him tortured and humiliated and dragged through the mud, just to forgive us for that sin that we didn't even commit?
Christianity leads to atheism since any thinking human being would reject all of the above and sadly enough most of those who reject that nonsense turn to atheism and become anti-religion. You yourself will probably turn to atheism at some point in your life.
Alhamdulillah alot of those who reject christianity turn to islam and that number is increasing and will continue to increase insha'Allah. Islam is simple and makes sense to even a two year old: One God, no man is burdened with the sins of another man, believe in God and His messenger and do good and you will be Rewarded, reject God and you will be punished.Last edited by Umm Ahmed; 18th June 2008 at 05:29 AM.
