10- Most lofty beliefs of Islam


“Knowing Allah (Exalted be He), believing in His Oneness and declaring His perfection are the most sublime beliefs of Islam. We believe in the Quranic verses and authentic hadiths which describe the exalted attributes of Allah, as well as other mutashābih texts (i.e. which are not clear on their own), without interpreting or negating any of them. We stand aloof from the differences which exist among the scholars concerning these verses; it is enough for us to adopt the attitude of the Prophet (saws) and his companions: “And those firmly grounded in knowledge say: ‘We believe in it; the whole of it is from our Lord’…” (Qur’an 3:7)
ومعرفة الله تبارك وتعالى وتوحيده وتنزيهه أسمى عقائد الإسلام، وآيات الصفات وأحاديثها الصحيحة وما يليق بذلك من التشابه، نؤمن بها كما جاءت من غير تأويل ولا تعطيل، ولا نتعرض لما جاء فيها من خلاف بين العلماء، ويسعنا ما وسع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وأصحابه (وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِهِ كُلٌّ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّنَا) (آل عمران :٧)
