A Muslim Boy Greets The West...
Preserving Orthodox Islam in a Modern Context?

Coming Soon!
The history of Muslims in Britain goes back well over a 1000 years. Eighth century coins from the reign of King Offa stamped with the Muslim declaration of faith offer a glimpse into this very little known history. Despite this rather vague memory, the West has traditionally treated Islam as the 'other side' or as a far-away secret of the mystical East.
Although there remains some 'validity' in such notions, the 21st century has seen this simple world-view rocked and radically complicated by a growing presence in the West of over ten million Muslims. God's domain is not restricted by any geographical state whether East or West and thus the Muslim narrative is in desperate need of a new frame of reference...

University College London Union presents the National Ramadhan Charity Conference. Through the many enlightening talks to be delivered on the day, we welcome everyone to recognise the beautiful attributes and unwavering faith that have been exemplified by the Prophet (pbuh) and how we can revive this in a 21st Century Britain.
We hope to raise £20,000 for a selected orphanage, founded in Eastern-Sudan. It is home to hundreds of refugee children suffering from the trauma and horrors of war. When you give to these children, the proceeds will allow them to build an unprecedented and comprehensive 'Islamic Compound' to facilitate for their needs most desperately providing the orphans with a needed Masjid in which they will enjoy a flourishing Islamic ambiance and learn the book of Allah. In addition to a Masjid, this Compound in Eastern-Sudan will also provide them with regular schooling, rearing them to become confident young boys and girls who can not only read and write, but are even computer literate and ultimately able to fight their way out of the vicious and biting reality of poverty.
Ummah Welfare Trust with the support of Ethar Relief will ensure your money goes towards helping these orphans build their lives based on Islamic principles, at a time when we realise the less fortunate there is an obligation upon us all to stand and be counted, the Prophet (pbuh) loved the orphans with immense affection. This is an opportunity to invest in your akhirah for Allah swt says:
‘’Those who spend their wealth in Allah’s Cause by night and day, in secret and in public, they shall have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve’’ (Surah Al-Baqarah[2]:274)
Please donate generously and invite others to do the same!
JazakAllahu khairun
