    Course Description:

    This retreat will cover the various disciplines connected to the Qur'an, each discpiline being a distinct science in itself. The book Ulum Al-Qur'an by Ahmad Von Denffer will be used as the basis for the course with further explanation and topics to be discussed by the lecturers. The course will cover revelation, the definition of al-Qur'an, the oral transmission and written text of the Qur'an, Makkan and Medinian verses, Tafsir and its principles etc.

    Price: £70

    Includes course notes, accommodation & food.

    Meals: Basic cooked meals will be provided.

    Recommended Items:

    We will be sleeping indoors for the duration of the programme but it is possible that we may experience bad weather conditions, therefore it is recommended that you bring warm/water proof clothing and other items listed below:

    1. Notebook(s) and writing instruments
    2. Sleeping bag
    3. Personal toiletries, hand towel/ towel etc.
    4. Sporting clothes for exercises
    5. Warm clothing
    6. Small blanket and pillow (if required)
    7. Your Qur’an.

    Please remember: This programme is a non-profit event and the volunteer helpers are not paid and so it is a collective responsibility for everyone to participate in certain tasks to help in the running of the event. This may mean cooking, cleaning etc. Such tasks are intentionally made to be part-and-parcel of the tarbiyah process.
