As-salamu 'alaikum.

I'm preparing a khutbah for this week and I've decided to focus on social justice and Islam, relating back to being productive and active over the holiday break after exams. The khutbah itself would be from 1:15pm to 1:40/45pm.

Examples from the seerah are an obvious point of reference, but it would be great if anyone can help out with Qur'an and ahadeeth relating back to activism, social justice, political justice etc.

So far, I've got some advice from Ustadh Alomgir Ali after his new Uloom ul Qur'an/tafseer class about relating the points back to the Ummah being one whole body, and will contact me via Facebook on specific ahadeeth from al-Nawawi's 40 relating to my khutbah.
