Re: The Creed Of At-Tahawi I can't understand point 41.
(41) He sways (yatadhabdhab) between faith and disbelief, confirmation and denial, and acceptance and rejection. He will be subject to vain suggestions, perplexed and lost, neither a sincere Believer nor an open denier.Sometime I think what is the difference between us and pagans? They worship idols as we do now. Under the false humanely disguise, we go to temples of nationalism, democracy, feminism, secularism, socialism, communism and other countless man-made isms to enable us to become these ism's priests. And the day we realised that and broke them we will become enlightened.
I ask Allah to purify our hearts and deeds so to earn His love, and so to lay eyes upon our beloved Prophet, salah allahu 'alayhi wa salam, for the burden of knowing that such a man existed, reading about him and admiring him, and at the end of the day, not being able to see him, is misery in itself. But again, I remember the words of Bilal, it is tomorrow when we will meet him, Inshaa'Allah.

Re: The Creed Of At-Tahawi Bump.
How can a person be not a denier as well as believer.?Sometime I think what is the difference between us and pagans? They worship idols as we do now. Under the false humanely disguise, we go to temples of nationalism, democracy, feminism, secularism, socialism, communism and other countless man-made isms to enable us to become these ism's priests. Re: The Creed Of At-Tahawi I have a question with regard to the text of the Sharh.
Is there any reference to al-Ash'ari's book al-Ibana by the author, Ibn Abi'l-'Izz?
I would appreciate if someone could indicate that to me, as I have search the text but could not find any. Just want to confirm this. Thank you.SunniPress
Taqi al-Din al-Subki and his fanatic son Taj al-Din al-Subki in dialogue:
"I came across a book from one of the Mu'tazilah which he named Tabaqat al-Mu'tazilah, which was opened with the mention of 'Abdallah b. Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, assuming that he is one of them. Allah has freed him from their creed!
[He said:] This is the utmost of fanaticism! Verily, a man is acribed to those who walk their way!
[Ibn al-Subki then says:] I said to the Shaykh, the Imam (i.e. his father): If they (i.e. the Mu'tazilites) could to this, then the Ash'arites could claim Abu Bakr and 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with them, for they (i.e. the Ash'arites) are upon their creed and that of the rest of the Companions"

Re: The Creed Of At-Tahawi Some say that Allah described himself as a 'thing' in the Quran and it seems that they present Quran 6:19 as an evidence:
﴿
.(Say: "What thing is the most great in witness'')
How should a Muslim respond to such understanding?
Quran 6:19 Say: "What thing is the most great in witness'' Say: "Allah is Witness between you and I; this Qur'an has been revealed to me that I may therewith warn you and whomsoever it may reach. Can you verily bear witness that besides Allah there are other gods'' Say "I bear no (such) witness!'' Say: "Only He is God, alone, and truly I am innocent of what you join in worship with Him.'')Do they not then consider the Quran carefully? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much contradictions (Quran 4:82)
'Ibn Taymiyyah Against the Logicians' p. 114:
'What truth there lies in logic can be known without the logicians'

Re: The Creed Of At-Tahawi The author of the posted lectures seems to have studied in Medinah and has also series of alhakami, abdulwahab and uthaymin. So he clearly is salafi in 'aqeedah.
