Assalamu alaikum
Abuz-Zubair, or anyone else that can answer.
When making du'a', I know that one must have full yaqeen when calling upon Allah that He will grant it, and I know about this being one of the etiquettes. However, I realise also that whatever happens is the decree of Allah and if my du'a is not accepted that I have to accept this. My problem is that, knowing this, I feel like it is compromising my strength of yaqeen in its acceptance, and this makes my du'a feel less strong. Perhaps I am trying to console myself beforehand to cushion the blow, although even saying that now doesn't seem right, since I should have yaqeen that Allah will answer it...does my confusion make any sense to you? I ask because I want to increase the chances of my du'a being accepted, since I am facing a bit of a trying situation right now and it is to Allah I am turning - I just want to make sure I am doing it right.
Without disrespect to anyone else who may just want to help, I would appreciate a knowledge-based response as that alone would set my heart at ease.
Jazakumullahu khairan and thanks in advance for anyone who may give a response.
Wassalam
