Default Remedy lay in delight of Knowledge and spirit of Action...

Remedy lay in delight of Knowledge and spirit of Action...

In the battlefield of Jihād when the footsteps head towards death then this worldly life is thought less about and concentration is focussed on the life ahead in the Hereafter. With the enemy around, the feeling of death is so clear that one can witness it and surely this cannot be achieved in any other act of worship. As a result of this the diseases like wahn, cowardice, love of worldly adornments are cured by itself. With the closeness of death and apprehension of enemy’s presence, a person adopts more taqwa and fear of Allāh is very much increased and he will definitely stop himself from Allāh’s disobedience and draws back from any of the sins, as it can easily be understood that it is Allāh Alone Who can save him from the trials of this life. And only then a person can truly strivehard against his own self, while engaged in combat, to earn Allāh’s Pleasure and Help against the enemy. (also read the famous communiqué of Commander ‘Umar ibnalKhattab’s to Sa’d ibnalWaqqas’s, may Allah be pleased with them.)

“As for those who wage Jihād in Us (in Our Way), We will surely guide them to Our Paths. And verily Allāh is with the Muhsinūn.” [Al-‘Ankabūt]

The Prophet (ASWS) said, “You must strive in jihaad for the sake of Allaah, may He be blessed and exalted, for it is one of the gates to Paradise, and Allaah dispels worry and distress through it..”
I posted this in relation to the remedy for sins,

And I think in addition we should develop khushoo (humility) in Salaah and should not be absent minded of our Lord even while we are standing before Him, I believe only lack of khushoo’ is the main reason that leads to sins...

May Allah 'Azz wa Jall help us.

P.s. I tried to translate this from a local shaykh, and edited a bit, so plz excuse the poor english.

And if someone knows similar quotes/links that relate taqwa and tazkiyah an-nafs to al-Jihad then please don't ignore to bring them to notice.

Repent before it is too late

    Question:
Do you have any advice for young men who are indulging in worldly pleasures and who forget to prepare and strive for the Day of Resurrection?.

    Answer:

    Praise be to Allaah.
Our advice to negligent youth is to repent before it is too late and before they come to regret not doing their duty towards Allaah. For death may come suddenly; and Allaah may give respite but no wrongdoer can escape His punishment, and He is Almighty and is the One Who wreaks vengeance. Sin has an effect on the body and soul, and its consequences may come in this world, before the Hereafter. They should remember the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) concerning the six whom Allaah will shade from the heat of the Day of Resurrection in the shade of the Throne: “… and a young man who grew up worshipping Allaah …” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 660; Muslim, 1031.

[“There are seven whom Allaah will shade with His shade on the day when there will be no shade except His: the just ruler; a young man who grows up worshipping his Lord; a man whose heart is attached to the mosque; two men who love one another for the sake of Allaah and meet and part on that basis; a man who is called by a woman of rank and beauty and says ‘I fear Allaah’; a man who gives in charity and conceals it to such an extent that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives; and a man who remembers Allaah when he is alone, and his eyes fill up.” (Agreed upon, narrated by al-Bukhaari, no. 620; Muslim, no. 1712; and others).]

They should feel shy before their Lord and should feel ashamed when the ummah is being attacked by its enemies and needs young people to lead this ummah out of its crisis and to fight the enemy in jihad in obedience to Allaah. They should think of the last verse of the Qur’aan to be revealed, and the last command that Allaah gave to mankind (interpretation of the meaning):

“And fear the Day when you shall be brought back to Allaah. Then every person shall be paid what he earned, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly”
    [al-Baqarah 2:281]

And Allaah knows best. May Allaah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and companions.
