Learning Adobe Flash CS4

Al-Salamu 'alaykum,

I'd like to learn Adobe Flash from scratch, insha' Allah. I checked for some courses I could take in the summer and I only found day or two-day courses and I doubt I'd pick up much in such a short time frame, plus it was disproportionally expensive too.

Is there a self-teach book or dvd course that someone would recommend that I get to try and pick some of this stuff up?

Get it installed first, then get Lynda.com DVD tutorials through Piratebay torrent tracker or buy it if you can afford it.

You don't need to attend any classes, and you just need to know how to start and what are the needed functions and scripts for you, after that, you'll pass the Lynda thing and start googling some specific issues that you want for your own work, hope this help, if not I'll post again with some extensions in mind.

I had one of the Lynda.com tutorials a while back but it came in this bizarre extension that neither my VLC, MPlayer nor Total Player could play.

I'll have another look insha' Allah.

was it an image or a .bin file?

if so you can easily use that through daemon lite tools, let us know

Don't really remember, it might have been .iso. I lost it when thieves nabbed all my external drives.

.iso is an image file, you just have burn the image to a cd/dvd or use daemon lite tools

if you know how to use torrents i have pm'd you the link to a lynda tutorial on it

If it was an ISO, you should open it without burn it on a CD, it's just a waste I think.

You can use the Daemon tools, MagicISO, PowerISO...etc to mount it, I prefer PowerISO and I'll send it to you if you want + the Serial.

Those Softwares above work as CD/DVD-ROM drives' emulators, so they do add Virtual CD/DVD drives alongside your real hardware and you can browse/extract/burn the ISO included files from there without having the need to burn it.

I'm reluctant to buy something copiable from e-bay as I've seen some dodgy stuff adverised as "original" in the past their but thanks for the tip.

Pirate software is epidemic here anyway, there are some streets you can't walk without at least six people accosting you "CDs, Softvare sir?"

I was linked to a format that I can view and so I'll hold off on the PowerISO route at the moment, but I do appreciate the offer.
