Maths tutor needed.. Asalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullah,
I'm looking for a sister who can tutor me in maths at GCSE level. I'm in my final year of GCSE and my exams are in June. I personally think I'm on the way to failing maths. My teacher predicts me an A* and the only way I'm going to get that is if I change drastically.. Starting with a maths tutor.
Anyone who's good at maths and would like to tutor me, do not hesitate to reply. And we'll see what happens from there..
Extra info:
-Must be based in London
- Exam board: Edexcel
- Specification: Linear Higher
Jazakallah khayr

Re: Maths tutor needed.. I got a A* in maths, but that was in 1995, back then no one really revised for GCSE's much, we probably only revised for a few days before, A-levels were A LOT harder though.
If your predicted an A*, you probably gonna get it without a tutor.

Re: Maths tutor needed.. First evaluate your potential by doing past exam papers.
Once you have identified your weak areas then check for free online resources. There are plenty available.
The ones I know of are college level so that may not suit.
Try the bbc site:
BBC - GCSE Bitesize - Algebra
If the online resources do not help and there is no free support at school then your best bet is tuition.
May Allah grant you tawfeeq in your studies................................................... .................................................. .................................................. ..............................................

Re: Maths tutor needed.. does it really matter if you get a c or a* cos once you get onto the alevel course, then your entry into uni depend on the grades in alevel. Any jobs or advancement need c or above.

Re: Maths tutor needed.. ^ Yes it does matter.
We should make a habit of being proficient in our actions and endeavors so that even if we fail to reach our target and miss, then insha Allah, we will still succeed even though the results are not at our desired level.
If we don't care and are satisfied with lesser results, then we are grooming ourselves for failure because our preparation might not be as thorough as is needed, or we might just perform badly at the exam. So, do your best and with the help of Allah, you will succeed.
A’ishah relates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Allah loves that when one of you engages in any work, he should carry it out with proficiency.”
