What did Umar RA say??

I'm looking for a saying attributed to Umar RA.

It goes something like this ......

"Allah SWT has given honor to the us through Islam. If we seek honor and power by means other than Islam He (Allah SWT) will send down upon the ummah Thuhl (shame & disgrace).

'Alayk as-Salam wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh;

Allah has not honored the US, bro . Not yet, anyway.

You're referring to what he said to Abu 'Ubaydah bin al-Jarrah when they were on their way to Sham and 'Umar got off of his donkey to feed it some water with his hand, and Abu 'Ubaydah was amazed at this. So, 'Umar hit his chest and said: "If only someone other than you had said this, Aba 'Ubaydah. You were the most humiliated, lowly, and insignificant of people, and Allah honored you with Islam. So, no matter what you seek honor through other than it, Allah will humiliate you."

The wording of this is from 'al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah' (7/59).
