Ibn Al-Shaykh Al-Libi Dies in Libyan Prison
A former senior official of al-Qaeda, Ali Mohamed al-Fakheri, alias ‘Ibn E-Sheikh al-Libi, committed suicide in his cell in Libya where he was serving a life sentence since his extradition from Guantanamo in 2006, a Libyan newspaper reported Sunday.
Ali Mohamed Abdelaziz al-Fakheri, known as ‘Ibn E-Sheikh al-Libi was found dead of suicide in his cell, said the newspaper ‘Oea’ without specifying the date or method of suicide.
Former al-Qaeda, Ibn E-Sheikh al-Libi, 46, was responsible for Khalden, a training camp of al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. He was arrested in 2001 by coalition forces, while attempting to cross the Afghan-Pakistani border.
The former detainee of Guantanamo was delivered in 2006 to Libya where he was sentenced to life imprisonment.
According to the newspaper, a mission of the Human Rights organization ‘Human Rights Watch’ recently met Ibn E-Sheikh al-Libi in prison.
In January, Libya has asked the U.S. to extradite nine Libyans detained since 2002 in the prison of Guantanamo.

Inna-Lillahi-Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un
he was safe at Guantanamo bay,
May Allah (swt) destroy the tatghoot dogs, May Allah (swt) curse them
Narrated An-Nu'man bin Bashir:
I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'Both legal and illegal things are evident but in between them there are doubtful (suspicious) things and most of the people have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from these suspicious things saves his religion and his honor. And whoever indulges in these suspicious things is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the Hima (private pasture) of someone else and at any moment he is liable to get in it. (O people!) Beware! Every king has a Hima and the Hima of Allah on the earth is His illegal (forbidden) things. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart.

They probably killed him in his cell. La'natullahi 'alayhim

Yes indeed - after years of torture and attempts to humiliate him.
May Allah azza wa jal give these cowardly lackeys of the kuffaar what they deserve, in this life, and in the next.
May Allah azza wa jal humiliate the kuffaar by giving victory to the Mujahideen.
Such things as this murder serve to show the kuffaar and their lackeys for the cowardly dishonourable dogs they are - full of hatred for the true believers, just as such deeds as this strengthen our Eemaan and our determination to fight the kuffaar and their per dogs through jihad fi sabilillah.

Cageprisoners Questions The ‘Suicide’ of Ibn al-Sheikh al-Libi
PRESS RELEASE
11th May 2009
Cageprisoners questions a disturbing report, as yet unconfirmed, that Ali Mohamed Al-Fakheri, otherwise known as Ibn al-Sheikh al-Libi, committed ‘suicide’ while detained in a Libyan prison. No further details have been revealed although it is known that Al-Libi was extremely ill and suffering from tuberculosis and diabetes and had endured torture in the year that he was detained as part of the ‘High Value Detainee Program.’
Ibn al-Sheikh al-Libi had never been charged with a crime by the US and was summarily sentenced to life imprisonment in Libya. Given the well-documented abuse of prisoners in Libya, it is highly probable that his abuse would have continued during his proxy detention.
Cageprisoners demands that the US and Libyan authorities disclose full details of his detention and the circumstances of his suspicious death.
Cageprisoners’ Director and former Guantanamo detainee, Moazzam Begg, said:
“The case of Ibn al-Sheikh al-Libi – the man whose tortured testimony was used to justify a war that cost the lives of tens of thousands of people and, ironically, indirectly led to the pre-trial detention of thousands more – should serve as a stark reminder of what happens when torture is applied to gain information. President Obama has recently granted immunity to CIA agents who may well have been involved in Al-Libi’s interrogation and torture. If the desire to get at what went wrong is so blatantly covered up under colour of incongruous ‘national security concerns’ there will be no end to this. And once again, the warmongers will get away with another odious and criminal cover-up.
The US administration has proposed transferring prisoners at Guantanamo Bay to their countries of origin through the use of Memoranda of Understanding. Al-Libi’s case highlights deporting individuals to countries with a record of torture is unlawful and a clear violation of the rule against torture. Diplomatic assurances have no legal value and thus cannot be relied on to protect detainees from abuse.

Hani as-Sabaai' Says Ibn Shaykh al-Libi Was Killed
“If the inferno of this world is what I must plunge into,
To be worthy of glancing into the Face of my True King,
Then fought will be the false-gods, till I am ashes,
To Him we all belong, but He buys only me and those who plunge in along with me,
By the Lord! With my slavery to the True King I will remain, or let my bones turn to charcoal,
So away with these dates! I see Rivers and Gardens in these flames”

Re: Ibn Al-Shaykh Al-Libi Dies in Libyan Prison
Of course he was killed. Cheney ordered his torture so he could tell them that Iraq was linked with al-qa'idah.
If cheney was put on trial for war crimes, ibn sheikh would be a key witness, so he was taken out.
