    الفوائد المجموعة في الأحاديث الموضوعة
"Fawaid majmua fi ahadeeth al mawdhua"
    Author: Imam Shawkani.
Printed: by Medarik publishing in Turkey. With a great, brilliant introduction by Mehmet Emin Akin.

Description: I can't really say, what is better: text of book or introduction? Mehmet Emin Akin gave detailed explanation of main works on issue of fabricated narrations, he also answered to attacks of Zahid Al-Kawthari on imam Shawkani.
As for the book itself, imam Shawkani wrote it in very simple and intelligible form. Text of narration, then brief opinion of some scholars on narration, and brief info on problems in chain.

A biography of the Prophet of Islam (In the light of the Original Sources An Analytical Study) 2 Vol
    By Dr. Mahdi Rizqullah Ahmed
    Printed by Darussalam.

    Description
: Well i can simply copy it from darussalam publications, because i can't say better.
This work on the life history of the Prophet (sallalahu alayhi wa ala alihi wa salam) stands out from other works in quite a few ways. First, every detail mentioned has been traced back to original sources, whose authenticity has been discussed extencively in the footnotes. Second, the events of the Prophet's life have been related to modern times and lessions drawn for the benefit of those who happen to face similar situations in their struggle to spread the prophetic message.

I just wanted to say a few words on the book "The Crusades Through Arab Eyes" by 'Amin Maalouf. I know it sounds cliche, but I really had a hard time putting this book down. It was exciting and very well written. It presents a chronicle of the crusades based entirely upon Muslim historical sources. While based on historical sources, it has the virtue of not being written in some dry, academic form. Rather it is written in a very fluid and lucid form. The subject matter will be engrossing to anyone interested in gaining an introduction to this famous chapter in Muslim history. One will also find numerous parallels between these medieval occurrence and current events. This is certainly a book that every Muslim should read.

Yes, brother! I read its swedish translation. It was a thrilling reading for me. The author is a catholic arab, born in Beirut. His works are written originally in french.
I like specially the part where the muslim justice system, social justice level and medical methods were compared to the christian reality of juctice and medicin.
But the conclusions that Amin Malouf made at the end of his book is must for muslims, because he makes some good points there: specially about muslim rulers throughout the ages...
    excellent book!

    Default Field: 'Uloom al-Qur'an

    مذكرة في علوم القرآن
    Mudhakkirah fi 'Uloom al-Qur'an [Arabic]

By Ibrahim ibn Muhammad al-Faqeeh al-Qadimi (professor at Dar al-Hadith in Ma'mar, Yemen)

    Publisher: Maktaba al-Imam al-Wadi'i, San'aa: 2008
    ~ 270 pages

This is another great book which goes into explaining the sciences of the Qur'an. The author (one of the professors in Dar al-Hadith, Yemen), has broken down the various aspects of this science in a nice and categorical manner, explaining away concepts in a brief and clear way. The differing opinions and aqwal are brought and categorised together for ease of understanding. There is also some attention on the different sects and their incorrect understanding of the 'uloom al-Qur'an (e.g. wahy) with of course clarifications on how their arguments are invalid.

Overall, it's good book to go back to as a reference point when dealing with this science. I've yet to finish this book but perhaps it's not as great as al-Qattan's book, although it does add more to the topic when dealing with refutations and misconceptions.

    Quality of print: Nice
    وَآخِرُ دَعْوَاهُمْ أَنِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
"... And the last of their call will be, "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds." [10:10]

Imam Malik (rh): “Do not look to the sins of people as if you are Lords, but look to your own sins as if you are slaves. Have mercy on the people of affliction and praise Allah for your well-being, and never say, ‘This person is from the people of Hellfire, and this person is from the people of Paradise.’ Do not be arrogant over the sinners, but rather ask Allah to grant them hidayah and rashad (i.e. guidance).”
